Let's not forget that she's also talking to an orphan *orc* who's just said that he hopes they don't become enemies. For all she might know, the events at the Wrathgate could've been the cause of his parents' deaths.
I doubt she'd give the same speech if it were a Forsaken child she was talking to. ;-)
