You know that is perhaps the most useless analogy ever. Because what taste bad to one person is awesome to another that's why they call it "taste" dude. It is the same for literature. The great Gatsby is hailed as the panicle of early 20th century fiction, yet many people find it dry and pedantic.

To sum up, you thinking something sucks doesn’t make it a universal truth.

I find it Ironic that you speak about his poor writing style when yours is that of a failing community college student.

Johns Hopkins must be desperate yes? Seriously; how many times can you use "seriously" in one reply? I understand you are trying to convey the seriousness of the situation but seriously it isn't necessary. I get the sense that you have never met an agitative you didn't like for some odd reason. I guess he can keep his orbs and you can seriously learn to sweep around your own back door before criticizing your obvious betters

Aug 29th 2009 10:04AM Actually that is perhaps the most likely explanation... after all it is only a matter of time before we see Artifacts. We already have legendary and Heirloom items.

Aug 29th 2009 9:12AM So you are just going to take some shmoes advice on what is and isn't a good character without finding out for yourself??

Typical B.net kiddie mindset.

Aug 29th 2009 12:51AM Very well put Carly, yes I met the guy too...he is probably the least arrogant author I met. The most arrogant being a toss between Terry Goodkind, and Stephen King. I'm glad to hear about the new book deal, and you are right he is almost universally praised by his peers. I guess we are lucky that the cool to hate knaak crowd has zero credibility with Blizzard and we will be seeing a great deal more from him in the futuure.

Aug 28th 2009 8:55PM Okay let me educate folks on this. Rhonin isn't taken from the Japanese Ronin, it's Galiec it means little seal. Knaak modeled the character after Rhonin the red who was a Warrior Poet and Advisor to Brian Baru an Irish King that lived in the Ninth century.

A good part of the Knaak hate again stems from sheer ignorance and the follow the what’s cool mindset. To the tard who said I should read less fanfic....how many knaak books have you actually read? I’m betting one or less.

Aug 28th 2009 6:22PM I always enjoyed Richard Knaaks work especially his WoW Novels, he gets such a bad rap from the offical forum trolls...most of whom have never actually read his (or anyone elses novels) I had the pleasure of meeting him at thelats Gen-Con and his knowledge of the game (he puts a lot of time in playing) is really impressive. I'm looking forward to the new book as Night of the Dragon was a real page turner.
