Jan 18th 2012 5:38PM From the position of one of your raid healers, please don't be that guy. Just because you CAN ignore Heroic Will doesn't mean you SHOULD, even if it is LFReasymode.
Dec 22nd 2011 6:53PM yay for shorestriders!
Sep 27th 2011 6:56PM @bethontheharbor
How does it suck? If you can't make the effort to log in more than once a month, what business do you have being the GL in the first place?
May 2nd 2011 3:15PM I'll be downloading your addon tonight, Chris. Looks spiffy!
May 2nd 2011 2:38PM And to build on what Fawatam said, it'd also be nice if any members with the ability to see the "requests" tab (I think anyone with invite privs can see it) would get some kind of system message informing them that there is a new applicant. Many times so far we've seen requests, but since we're not babysitting the window 24/7, not a single time has the requestor been online the first time we try to invite. Isntead we end up mailing them, and they join later.
Mar 15th 2011 12:14PM I recently brought my first toon out of a 5 year retirement, and have him at lvl 70 up from 49. I've server transferred him twice, because I just can't bear to let "the very first one" die.
Mar 10th 2011 7:33PM @Kurtis: I believe "mutts" is slang for "Dogs Bollacks" which is slang for "a good thing."
And on the OP's topic, personally I hate suffix "aholic." Alcoholics are addicted to alcohol. Are altaholics addicted to altahol?
Better get some chocahol this evening for my chocoholic wife.
Jan 24th 2011 2:08PM WoWInsider's coment system has gotta be one of the worst I've seen. This was a reply to
snowleopard233's question about RAM in a Macbook.
Jan 24th 2011 2:06PM You won't notice much of a difference over 4GB, but since it's a laptop, that's pretty much your best place to make improvements.
When I'm playing on my MBP, the best thing I can do to improve performance is to run smcFanControl and crank the fans to max. Having one of those cooling stands underneath it really helps too.
On my iMac, I don't think I've ever seen WoW take more than 2GB.
Jan 10th 2011 12:57PM @Twill Each cast of LoD will proc a PotL, as will each cast of WoG. One of the main things Chase is going for here is to point out that in mild-damage situations, it's more efficient to burn each point of HP separately, rather than to charge them up. I've noticed this myself in dungeons, and only charge up HP when there's heavy damage being doled out.
Regarding your second Q, and this is only based on watching my combat/healing text during a fight, so I might be misinterpreting this (I'm paying more attention to other stuff at that point), but it seems that when I heal the beacon, lets say for 10000, I get a 6000 proc of PotL. I then see another heal hit the beacon for 3000. *sometimes* I almost think I've been seeing a third heal hit the beacon, but haven't really paid the time to analyze that.
As for the list of spells, Elitist Jerks' Paladin / Holy Compendium has a pretty great breakdown of it. Personally I've found myself being a Holy Light / Holy Shock spammer, with FoL in "OSHT OHELL OHNO" moments, and Divine Light during predictable, short term, heavy damage.
