Breakfast Topic: Dealing with unpleasant players {WoW}

Jun 8th 2010 9:59AM this is not quite a rude/mean person complaint but extremely frustrating. I encountered this type of griefing for the first time yesterday

person queues as tank and afk's in durotar being attacked by a low level mob

you can't kick him, and if you have no one else in your party capable of tanking you have no choice but to take the debuff.

Raid Rx: Are we focused on the right things? {WoW}

May 23rd 2010 8:31PM herp derp fights last 8 minutes and I would rather gem for regen at the cost of haste than use a free mana regen spell that also happens to return mana to my party

May 20th 2010 9:50PM You seem confused as to the definition of anecdotal. Let me put it in terms you can understand : in your experience blahblahblahblah doesn't mean jack.

Your stupid lag scenario actually supports my argument lolol. OK, yes even top level guilds suffer from lag and people being dumb, but as a healer, what helps you save the raid from people being dumb, assuming they didn't get one shot? Oh I know, more throughput and more speed so you can get that cast off 0.1 seconds before the aoe ticks them to dead!

ok if you have 5 blues stepping into icc you should probably gem some regen because you're at naxx gear level. I'm saying that the article poster's priest is in full t10, has double solace, should not gem regen because he shouldn't need it unless he's bad.

PS you're stupid so I'm going to be really clear, Disc benefits more from the extra spellpower of a 264/277 weapon because Disc shields do not benefit from valanyr's effect. DIsc has low direct healing and high absorption. Only direct healing benefits from valanyr's proc.

May 19th 2010 9:18PM your wall of text was basically you defending your suboptimal playstyle with your anecdotal evidence in significantly nerfed content, whereas EJ has a huge community behind them who are doing the highest level of content and back up their statements with calculations and sims.

You don't understand why valanyr is better for holy than it is for disc?
You don't understand why gemming for endurance is useless at ICC gear levels when simply managing your cooldowns and healing effectively will make sure you never oom?
There isn't a single fight in current content where I would give up speed and throughput for endurance.

May 19th 2010 5:36AM ahahaha 3 healing icc 10
A. you're bad
B. your guild is bad
I'm not going to argue with you because you think you are good and dispense advice based on your crappy reasoning

please go read elitist jerks on how to play your class and come back when you are doing any sort of content that is moderately challenging.

May 17th 2010 3:14AM this article is basically completely awful
there is most definitely a right way to gem a healer, yea 100 spellpower vs 50 int probably won't make a difference 99% of the time, but why would you ever want to be less awesome when its so easy to find how to gem/spec right?
i gagged at the article writer's armory
double solace and gemming full int.
wrong pants chant
running an inferior meta when insightful is ridiculously overbudget and worth something like 60 mp5 from the proc alone.
playing disc as his main spec when he has a valanyr

Gold Capped: Using blacksmithing to make gold on the auction house {WoW}

Feb 21st 2010 12:55AM belt buckles and cheap consumables are not going to get you gold capped. due to ease of entry (low cost of mats, only requires 415 blacksmithing) there is going to be competition, and profit/time spent or profit/real time elapsed is going to be craptacular. I've done the belt buckle/70 boe blues thing and you're looking at 1000g per week under the best of circumstances with little to no competition.

The real money in blacksmithing is selling the current tier of epics. I got the ashen verdict recipes the day i reached the required rep and have made anywhere from 2k-8k of profit per boot/leg sold. Even now I can easily sell at least 4 pieces a week for 3k in profit a pop all for very little time investment. There is not likely to be much competition due to the high cost of acquiring the recipes and mats.

Patch 3.2.2: Timear Foresees Sons of Hodir reputation in your future! {WoW}

Sep 3rd 2009 9:18PM I was doing the dailies for SoH on my second toon one day and decided to just screw it. i bought about 40k points of rep for around 2000g

Time is Money: On patrol {WoW}

Aug 7th 2009 11:18PM this is an absolutely awful way to make gold.
Sons of Hodir dailies are pretty much the only non-profession related dailies worth doing.
Once you're exalted with them, professions, mainly JC, ench, alch, and inscription, will make far better money.
