Feb 18th 2010 1:10AM The part of the problem I have with GS or WoW-heroes scores is that it becomes a substitute for knowledge. Players are judged based on a number that can vastly change through out gear sets and the gears' true dps/tps/hps value. There are i200 dungeon trinkets with vastly greater dps ratings than some 232 Raid trinkets. Using gear score is like using a thermometer to predict tomorrows weather. It could give you an idea of whats going to happen, but gives not enough relevant data. The truth is gearscore is a very shallow quick way of evaluating someone. There is some value in that type of tool, but in a raid environment, it is rarely useful besides Flame Leviathan and Maly.

"Ahhh, what an awful dream. Ones and zeroes everywhere...[shudder] and I thought I saw a two." -- Bender
"It was just a dream, Bender. There's no such thing as two". -- Fry
