Mists of Pandaria beta opt-in and official FAQ {WoW}

Mar 21st 2012 12:27PM I was also in the Cata beta, and my experience was like so many others here: It was a cool experience, and I was the envy of my guild, but once Cata finally released to the public, it wasn't special to me and I lost interest in redoing all the stuff I had done (and re-done) for weeks prior in the beta. For that reason, I don't think I'll try to get in the MoP beta.

However, I will say that there was one advantage for me: I got to level a goblin and a worgen, which is something I probably would not have done, otherwise, because all 10 slots on what I consider to be my home server are full. I don't have a toon I want to delete, and although I have a few toons scattered on other servers, I've never enjoyed playing anywhere but my "home" server. It's just not fun without my friends and the support of my main(s). Because they are adding an 11th slot, I'll probably get to do a monk once MoP releases, so I don't really care about being in the beta. (I still think only 1 more slot is pretty lame, though. I would SO use more if they were available.)

Mar 17th 2012 2:49PM I can't answer your question directly, but I can tell you that over on Elitest Jerks (.com), you can download a spec-maximizing spread sheet, and you have the choice of either plugging in the information yourself or pointing it to your character in the armory and letting it gather your gear/talents/gems/enchants/glyphs info for you. I would think that means the answer to your question is "yes" and the how-to might be answered if you grabbed one of those and investigated it.

Here, for example, is the link to the fury warrior spreadsheet:

Mar 14th 2012 6:44PM I was thinking the same thing. I see the belt and the legplates, but for the life of me, I can't find any sort of boot in that picture.

Mar 14th 2012 6:41PM When I saw it, I thought the light blue in the hills was a river/waterfall.

Breakfast Topic: What will be your big story from the Mists of Pandaria press event? {WoW}

Mar 14th 2012 11:10AM Instead of restating it, I'll just agree with El Jefe. This is my biggest deal for all the same reasons.

Mar 13th 2012 3:34PM They said in one of the recent columns that Alex is the only one that will be going.

Mar 13th 2012 3:31PM Caz, I had the very same experience. I was pretty stoked to get selected to be in the Cata beta, and eventually, it was the only WoW I played for awhile. It was cool seeing it all and telling my guild about it. But then when Cata actually launched live, there was very little excitement for me. I hadn't counted on how much of a let-down that would be. I actually stopped playing for awhile very early in Cata, because it was so redundant at that point. Glad to hear I wasn't the only one.

Is reforging a hit or a miss? {WoW}

Mar 12th 2012 9:25PM I never really thought of reforging as an attempt to give interesting options. I thought of it as an opportunity to use pieces of gear your normally wouldn't want, because you can make more pieces work together. It gives more options to what can be useful to you. Before reforging, people still min-maxed - there was still a "right answer" about what stats you need, but instead of reforging, it meant you just couldn't use certain pieces at all.

The Queue: Soon {WoW}

Mar 12th 2012 11:33AM Is there a stated expiration date on the Scroll of Resurrection offer? I haven't seen one, but when I tried to go the SOR FAQ on the official web-site today, it was under maintenance.

Around Azeroth: Then again, maybe I won't {WoW}

Mar 12th 2012 11:33AM Okay, this was supposed to go in the Queue. My apologies.
