Apr 12th 2010 11:27AM End game is pretty different from the leveling game. At the start your toon gets better simply by leveling up. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with how good a player you are. But at level cap, that's where skill starts to show. How you gear up, what spec you use, how well you control your character and time your moves, at 80 things like that really show. And also, that's when you really start to see how you can improve your own game play and get better at what you do.
Both parts of the game are fun, but I do enjoy raiding a lot too, which is something that can't really be done too much before level cap.
Apr 11th 2010 7:55PM PvP POV: CS and KS sharing diminishing returns, doesn't that kinda weaken Shadow Dance once more? SD is already a bit too easy to counter, if you know to look for it, due to it not lasting very long. What actually made SD worth speccing into wasn't so much the damage and burst, but in fact, the control it gave. If the length of Shadow Dance isn't buffed the diminishing returns will cause Sub to fall behind once again.
PvE POV: If they are trying to add more cc, less AoE nukage to the game, I sincerely cheer Blizz on for that. Trash pulls in raids and Heroics are pretty much boring FoK spamming. Ironically, FoK crits can give Combo Points for HaT talented Rogues, but with the low energy regen the tree has Sub can't really afford AoE as is. Hopefully they can make the changes to AoE feel more like balancing and less like nerfs. Or they could just give us the Poison Bottle from ToC5, to give us something else to use in AoE situations.
As for the Masteries... They're basically making all Rogue Masteries different versions of the current Hunger for Blood. Boring straight damage buffs to which ever abilities each tree is using, something they can dial to where ever they feel Rogues need to be dps-wise. Boring, but it does the job, I guess.
Apr 7th 2010 6:05PM I believe he can fly / I believe he can touch the sky
Saddle up and clear as day, / he can mount and fly away
I believe he can soar. / I see him running through that open door
I believe he can fly
on a dead dragon, fly
Yes, I believe he can fly
Um... yeah, Northern Flying makes escape pretty easy. Tyrannus won't actually have to wait to get through the walls of ice, just jump on his mount and fly away once he gets outside, which is, at the start of the "fight".
Apr 1st 2010 8:23AM Eadric will die. He's alone against waves of mobs. And he doesn't have the heart of a champion. He may be a high ranked paladin, but it seems like he got the position due to politics, not because of battle prowess. Many players die in this encounter due to not working well together. A lone fighter has a very slim chance of surviving this. I can't see it happening.

There's actually no proof that secular people are in any way more civilized. There's no correlating evidence suggesting that Secularism has anything to do with crime rates, teen pregnancies or even "happy people". These are merely loaded statements to prove to oneself how superior they are to other people.
Also, at present there is no religion of a sky wizard of some sort, and to my knowledge no major religion acknowledges pixies as real creatures.
The fact is, there are a lot of stupid people out there. Some are Christian, some are Muslim, some are Hindus, some are Atheists, just to give a few examples. Stupidity isn't tied into any faith, or lack of thereof. Stupid is, stupid does.
I find it odd, that you "normal people" are so willing to believe people with a different world view are somehow mentally challenged or morally handicapped. This kind of thinking stinks of arrogance, and I can hardly see it producing any good results for anyone.
As for the notion that humanity has grown in some way and learned from past mistakes... I sure hope so, though I think it would be pretty easy to prove other wise. In the mean time though, seems like were making our fair share of bad choices as a collective to give more study material to our kids.
Mar 24th 2010 11:25AM Even if we assume Marwyn is as powerful as 5 champs he'll still be outnumbered. The Champs have a healer, several ways to bring the hurt and even some CC abilities. As we've seen many times, the outcome is more than the sum of its parts. Even if we cut down the number to 3 and consider that random group equal to Marwyn I think we'll still see that a group is stronger than a single man, even a death knight.
Mar 18th 2010 2:20PM I've been using ClassTimer for a similar use. It's pretty good for an Assassination Rogue, since it makes keeping up the Envenom buff very easy. Only thing I'm having a slight problem is with TotT. It shows the buff very well, but I'd like to see the cooldown there too. Maybe I ain't doing it right.
Anywho, Carbonite is one of my favorite addons. Quest tracking, maps and gathering nodes all in one and everything is customisable.
Mar 15th 2010 1:08PM I kinda like the idea of that system.
Just keep in mind, any system based on rolling can cause someone to be lucky one night, and not get a thing on another. If you think a non-rolling system isn't good for the guild a currency system (such as DKP) might be better, but with runs with PUGs on them it can get tricky, and for those runs you'll most likely have to use a different system.
