Mar 6th 2010 3:27AM Another point in Frost's favour is that they bring Winter's Chill (+5% spellcrit debuff). If you don't have a fire mage or appropriately-talented warlock (and let's face it, there are no talented warlocks, ho ho) then the dps boost to the raid provided by the debuff might well outweigh the loss of personal dps vs arcane.

Oct 11th 2009 4:42AM The addon decursive is the handiest way of using remove curse. It will warn you when you (or a party or raid member) is afflicted with a curse you can dispell, and you can cast it on the correct target with a single click, without changing your current target.
Sep 30th 2009 10:04AM Nice run down on the fight. However, the Nether Power strategy given is a little misleading. Lord Jaraxxus gains 5 (or 10 on 25-man) Nether Power buffs all at one time. So it *starts* stacked all the way up.
When this happens it is up to your dispellers to remove it (one stack per dispeller at a time). The raid gains the most benefit by Mages spellstealing it (as they get their own damage increased), but other classes may need to help if you haven't got enough mages to get it off quickly enough.

I guess this is why they are going on the PTR, and what goes live might of course be different. My impression is that the PTR strategy tends to start at extremes, and work backwards (for example, the Molten Armor spirit change). What I find most positive about it though is that Blizzard are actively looking at restoring Arcane spec parity with Fire in raids.
