Aug 29th 2009 12:45AM Anyone who accuses Richard Knaak of being arrogant is speaking from a position of ignorance; I have met the man twice and spoken with him at length, he is many things, but arrogant isn't one of them. It's amazing to me how many Outhouse critics speak of how weak his work is, especially considering how authors like Golden, Metzen, Salvatore, and Hickman all praise him. Art is subjective I guess.
In any event the haters will be pleased to know that Knaak just penned a eight book deal with Blizzard, so new adventures of Rhonin and Veressa are coming your way, and I'm almost certain he will be there for Deathwings demise, but don't fret, you can piss and moan loudly as each new novel climbs the NY times best seller list.

Finally someone who knows the real story about this...Richard talked about it at the book sinning I mentioned; one jerk in the crowd basically started with the whole Mary Sue bullshit and asked why did he use a variation of the Japanese Ronin and RK set him straight...but you could tell he was tired of educating the stupid.
Aug 28th 2009 6:36PM That was a awesome interview, I have to confess when I saw it I expected a bunch of loaded questions and spin editing....sorry WoW.com
He did a signing for NoD at the Boarders I manage here in San Diego, More people showed up than when Terry Goodkind was here, He was so humble and so approachable. Folks might bash him but I can't keep any of his books on the shelves.
Aug 25th 2009 3:12PM Yeah..I agree in principle with wolf. WoW.com is definitely trying way too hard to be edgy, I man I'm waiting for the article on the transsexual vampire Jehovah witness, and how Blizzard is denying them TVJW freindly guilds.
I miss the old WoW insider, almost as much as I miss the old Allakhazam.
Aug 25th 2009 9:52AM No problem, I'm pretty picky about who I read regularly (because lets face it there is so much boring tripe out there ) But these guys usually have somthing to say. I also frequent Saate's site (http://www.saate.net/ ) becuase he is always right there with any changes to the game.
Aug 25th 2009 8:33AM I think this was one of the best Blizzcons yet, but the coverage on Direct TV was pretty horrible.... Besides you guys here at WoW.com Stormdragon has put up a really good review of it and talked about the Official forum reaction to Ozzys concert, he pretty much is spot on. Check it out here (http://companyofthewolf.org/?p=268)
Aug 24th 2009 8:51PM After Blizzcon, does anyone really care about this anymore?
Aug 20th 2009 1:39PM @Dreadskull
This is what I find Hilarious about the Rhonin hate...it is all internet tough talk....I have attended every single Blizzcon and many Gencons where Knaak is present and all I see are people gushing to him over how much they love his books. No one is screening these people and i would imagine that if this guy actually has hundreds of thousands of Rhonin is a Mary sue booster at least a couple of them would show up at these events to tell him how much they think he sucks....course it could be a case of them being spineless...
Aug 20th 2009 11:37AM You know wolf you might want to check out Stormdragons latest blog on that http://companyofthewolf.org/?p=255 folks like you who are making more of this than it is is why he is less than happy about the whole situation...and I can't say as I blame him.
Stormdragon and Faymar have one of the best blogs out there for grown up gamers, but they aren't insiders...and it's realy unfair for people like you to paint them as such.
Aug 14th 2009 3:26PM Hi Guys,
My name is Carly Bennington; I am part of the event staff here at Blizzard. Let me assure everyone that we are quite aware of the issues last year and have taken several steps to insure they are not repeated. Anyone causing problems will not only be removed from the convention by local authorities (who will be on hand) they will also be prosecuted and have there accounts permanently banned. Last year was the first time we ever had any incidents at any of our events, and we are determined to ensure a safe family friendly environment for our fans.
