Breakfast Topic: When a character just doesn't click {WoW}

Jul 22nd 2010 8:28AM Hunter, I think. I leveled to 80 and lost interest, like every little bit. I have many 80s, so it's not hard for me to forget about one of them, but WotLK hunter is... meh. Priest was a challenge, hunter shines only in BG and looks dead everywhere else.

Come, come Cataclysm.

Blizzard to begin throttling GearScore-like inspect requests {WoW}

Jun 25th 2010 9:23AM “Death of Gearscore” isn't something Blizzard can do. As long as you can inspect players, you can do that automatically (as long as developers are sane) and generate some numbers characterizing their gear.

Gearscore can be useful, everyone abusing it is a social problem. Killing this problem with inspect limitations is like killing racism by ordering everyone to wear masks.

Breakfast Topic: I am hopelessly insane {WoW}

Jun 16th 2010 9:43AM Oh, without Altoholic addon I would be devastated. I remember those times I actually had to relog to show someone my alt's profession. Nightmare.

Luci: well, I mostly forget to put up Fort on my priest. Playing several toons means that I can't really say I mastered any of them. Perfectionist in me, that is generally loud and clear in WoW becomes weak and... altoholic.

Jun 16th 2010 8:40AM A have twenty alts and I play them all. I participate in the same guild chat conversation under several different names, for example.

1. I have most classes at 80 (no mages), but I just cannot stand respeccing my tankadin in Retribution. So I start leveling another one. I want a Subtlety rogue but my main is Mutilate! She cannot turn around like that. So there goes another rogue. List goes on.

2. I have every profession under the table so that I only use «Sell» tab of the AH. I have every class (no mage tho) to understand each of them from the inside. Mages I'm looking through.

3. Not-very-crazy reason: I find leveling BGs extremely enjoyable on every class. Well, except mages.

It's not that bad... but sometimes I log on, can't remember what did I do on whom, log out and fire up NFS:MW. It's hurting my raiding attendance!

Breakfast Topic: My paladin turned out to be a ninja {WoW}

May 27th 2010 8:27AM Warriors. I started several months ago, she was a Gnome, and nothing was wrong with her except that I just plain hated the class. Stance-dancing, rage-starving, everything I heard about warriors was exactly like I imagined it would be. I put her in front of Ironforge bank on level 14 and left, shrugging off the feeling of disgust.

But recently I decided to give it another go and blew through 69 levels without any trouble. Fell in love with aggressive prot, looking forward to fury dual-spec. This is a miracle :)

AddOn Spotlight: TellMeWhen {WoW}

May 6th 2010 1:47PM I didn't see anything against Cyanea's arguments. Looking for some or other buff or debuff on this or that frame is not situational awareness, it is poor UI design. Cyanea was talking about healing, in this part default UI is simply unusable.

DPS can get away with the default UI, but try telling raiding affliction warlock or shadow priest to get rid of Event Horizon or whatever addon they (without doubt) using. They'll laugh at you.

Maybe you are one of those people who didn't want mounts on level 20. The game became too easy, didn't it? And in Cataclysm UI will be rebuilt — this is bad too, because we just started to like breaking our eyes with the default silent player frames and combet text right in the middle.

The Queue: Officially on notice {WoW}

Mar 12th 2010 12:22PM Army of the Dead is awesome for bosses in ICC 5-mans, where they but up debuffs on anything that moves. Or that Tyranus guy, when he grows, and yells, and... starts to knock out my little zombies. I giggle.

IgroMir 2009: More Cataclysm guild leveling details {WoW}

Nov 9th 2009 11:44AM On Blizzard's page the word is transliterated correctly and is written in quite big letters :)
Fact-checking rules.

IgroMir 2009: More Cataclysm guild leveling details {WoW}

Nov 9th 2009 11:38AM This. Dear WoW.com, typos in headings are bad, even if they are just typos. Игромир = Igromir, no reason to skip that third letter.

The Colosseum: Crinox of Burning Legion {WoW}

Nov 9th 2009 6:49AM And why exactly do they *need* that?
"Because it is MMO*RPG*, for God's sake!"
Oh, you haven't grasped the concept of "it's just a game" yet. I see.

Kudos to Lemons for perfect analogy. And, by the way, phrase "spend entire gameplay" doesn't make any sense.
