Jan 15th 2010 9:40AM Great guide, just missing the Improved Righteous Fury talent. I'd /sigh in real life if I saw a tank without that!
Jan 15th 2010 9:38AM I do think that that kind of sense of humor is what we readers want, yes. When I read something on this website, I don't expect 100% seriousness. I don't look at lore and things like that, so it's not needed. I find that article A, which contains 100% of the facts and only the facts is far less useful than article B, containing 75% of the facts mixed in with some humor and opinions.
Don't know about the rest of you out there though. What do you want from your WoW.com articles?
Jan 9th 2010 10:43PM I thought I would add. I know people are giong to say' what about the useful macros?
Go to google. Type 'useful Paladin macros'. Use what is useful to you.
You see what I mean? Post things that either a). We can't find out from google in 1 second or b). Everyone doesn't know if they read the stickies on WoWhead or any other WoW forum.
Jan 9th 2010 10:34PM I'm really sorry, but I find this really lacking. I usually love the WoW.com guides, but this is one I can't see the point in.
Seriously though, post-30 tanking can be summed up into this [very basically] -
-run to mobs
-hit an instant-cast offensive ability
-hit holy shield
-hit another instant-cast offensive ability
-(make sure you're positioned well)
-hit consecration again
Rinse and repeat.
I know, makes me look like an idiot. But seriously, you can use this to tank any normal instance or heroic. Even with raids, it's simply follow the 6-9-6-9 rotation - (if my little plan doesn't give you help, look it up. It's simples) - while following boss tactics.
I'm sorry if you enjoy the prot pala, but it's simple and not worth a long post any more.
Even if mine is.
Oh the irony.

There's nothing wrong with my grammar. At the time of typing, I was laying in bed at about three in the morning, with my arm slowly becoming less and less responsive as i cut off its circulation by leaning on it. So I'm so sorry that my grammar doesn't meet your obviously meticulously high standards.
And no, 'asshat', I wasn't criticizing hardcore gamers. I was saying that it isn't for me, and thanking the article for making me realize this.
What's the word I'm looking for now.... oh yeah. PWND.
Nov 22nd 2009 10:37PM Yeah man agreed. Don't get me wrong I'm not putting this article down.
Essentially I'm playing WoW for my version of 'fun' - this isn't it, while I thought it would be. Which is why I'm glad I saw this now rather than stuck in some high end raiding guild i dont enjoy xD
Nov 22nd 2009 10:19PM I liked this article, because it's put me off of raiding for life xD
I don't mean that in a bad way. Because if I'd have joined a guild and found they were as serious as this I think I'd have left straight away. To me what you have outlined above would be a chore, a job! I'd say, you healed this before? Cool let's go. Dude wtf was that? don't do it again aha!
again to re-iterate, i dont mean this in a negative way, im genuinally glad, hopefully saved me some heartache ;)
Oct 18th 2009 9:20AM Wow what's wrong with people here? I make one little comment - meant to be kinda funny - about how Arthas should die and all of a sudden I'm some cheesy lover of different games and it's like a 12 year old blah blah... Hmmm oh sorry.
Anyway, 'that's raw, death' blah blah.. this ain't real life it's a video game! And as such should reflect this! I mean when I ambush and don't kill someone, why not? I'm sure if I got stabbed in the back I'd definately not fight back :(
Oct 16th 2009 10:03PM I don't believe this is it. The Lich King and Arthas, united as one, wreaking havoc throughout Azeroth, raising Zombie Armies as often as we have breakfast, but easier. Destroying souls, uniting death and destruction - and then, quite literally, falling over dead. Just... kaput. Gone. Finished. 4 seconds of him rolling around like an idiot and then collapsing.
I'm sorry, but Arthas' death is going to be *magnificent*. He's going to fall onto Frostmourne, whereby the souls of all those he has killed roll around him (like an Arthas Sandwich) and Ner'Zuhl will leave him in disappointment, and curse the entirity of Azeroth. At this point Arthas will return as we once knew him, he will repent,he will understand and he will die like a man - he will die like his father.
That's my take.
Oct 8th 2009 4:39PM can I just say this - thankyou, so much.
Just really for 2 things;
-An informative post. I love them as much as an entertaining one, but you see a lot of those these days. Everywhere, not just here.
- The formula for ArP. As a casual player I wouldn't have ever sought it myself, but to finally understand how important it can be to know things like that... you may have changed my game for the better!
