Mar 9th 2012 7:45PM then she doesn't seem to have a leg to stand on. a company as diverse in assets as blizzard should have a "if it happens on our premises we can use it" type clause written into their employment contracts
Mar 8th 2012 8:45PM definitely interesting - i know when i worked in a call center for a major telcom, there was a clause in the paperwork i signed when hired that stated my voice, in the form of customer interactions, could be used in advertisements and training materials, and there was jack i could do about it. if she's claiming they stole copywriteable material from here tho (songs), wouldn't she have either had to sing them while being recorded, or written them while on the clock? afak, most "invention" clauses are written to only cover what is done either while on the clock or on/with company property......lets see how this turns out.
Mar 2nd 2012 8:26AM I have a macro "FOR THE HORDE!!...erm.....I mean......FOR STORMWIND!" on my human rogue. I've played to 85 on both sides, and really at this point, there is no "faction" unity. Hell, the "banner" race for the Alliance has an ability called "Every Man for Himself". That's the rallying cry now - "FOR ME! unlesseverythingsbeingdestroyedandeventhen FOR ME!". From a lore standpoint we're killing Deathwing to save the world, not to save the Horde or the Alliance specifically. From a gameplay standpoint, we're doing it for one of two reasons - for loot, or for bragging rights. Right now, in PVP, I could care less who it is I'm backstabbing, as long as I get an HK for it. If that red name happens to be from my own team, oh well, he's going down.
Feb 21st 2012 11:20PM was gonna start with "but...but, yaks are native to Asia..." but Tinkereena beat me to it. i'd love to see this though, even if my gpu is crying at the thought of rendering highly textured yak fur AND panda fur AND sparkly things @ the same time.
Feb 20th 2012 8:48PM um.....time, money, and loyalty over the past 7 years. which is the point of this conversation. it's the equivalent of getting a blind person a set of binoculars on the anniversary of their accident. "cheers, here you go, something you probably can't even use"
Feb 20th 2012 2:08PM not to mention that it was our "anniversary" gift for two years in a row....if i gave my wife the same crappy gift two years in a row (say, something a teenager would use, but not a grown woman.....say I gave her a training bra two years in a row), i'd probably be paying alimony now
Feb 20th 2012 1:30PM i would just like something other than "Thanks for being here for our 7th year - here's a tabard that's useless unless you have lowbie alts"
Jan 12th 2012 9:02PM I have enough trouble playing WoW when I go to my in-laws - the last time, I had to have Blizzard unlock my account three times, because apparently it's physically impossible to tote a laptop 60 miles, so I must be an unauthorized user. Full fledged WoW on a mobile device is nice, but I can't really see it working well at this point. Maybe once we have ubiquitous wi-fi available publicly to all (not talking about cell-phone hot spots here)........
Dec 25th 2011 10:54PM yes please!
Nov 23rd 2011 11:17AM I named my snake Arthas.....my roommate killed him though (not intentionally, but still). Last time I name a pet after a WoW character. Though my new puppy, Kaida (pronounced k-dah) kinda sounds WoWish
