Feb 24th 2012 8:13PM I hear if you put one foot in a boiling bucket of water and one foot in a bucket of ice, it averages out your standing in warm water.
Feb 19th 2012 9:20PM I enjoyed reading the healing answer ... i.e. I'm sorry you're having a problem, but you clearly don't understand basic game mechanics. Nice!
Feb 19th 2012 9:15PM I usually quit and either come back for an xpac or forget the game. If the game didn't change fast enough or in the right direction before I quit, no amount of comments on the exit form is going to change anything.
Trion was by far the bet developer in recent memory ... until they began nerfing the game. The two things I want are something different and a challenge. If everything is basically WoW with different terminology ... argue all you want, but TOR is WoW with lightsabers or at least 99.95% WoW with lightsabers ... the developers could've done better. Mindless clicking in a game I already know is boring.

I don't get all the TR love. I thought it was one of the most generic, unpolished games ever released. To me, it's the class example of talking about how the genre should evolve and then failing to meet 98% of those self imposed expectations.
Maybe it's the Ultima fans that love Garriot who want more TR, but I never played Ultima and to me, TR to me was the Ryan Leaf of MMOs.

I'm willing to bash Tor for a lot of things, but performance isn't one of them. The beta ran fine on my 5 year old duo core machine with an 8800GTS in it and 4 GB of memory.
To me, sounds like QQ'ing from people that may sometime need help turning their computers on.
Jan 15th 2012 11:15PM As for voice acting, it's very cool for a little while until you realize that the actual game mechanics haven't changed. Then you're still just mashing the same mind numbing buttons to get to the voice acting parts and even that's gets boring after a little while.
Better to just read a fantasy or scifi book than spend tons of time gathering x or traveling to y.
Jan 15th 2012 11:13PM I wouldn't play another MMO with way points and quest markers. I miss reading decent stories saying here's the purpose and here's where you need to go.
The worst offender was Rift quest writing, which was atrocious since they knew no one would read any of it because of the quest markers. I don't want ambiguous, but I do enjoy a little bit of exploring as long as the quest giver provides a clear and concise destination/area to go to.
Current MMOs basically boil down to mind numbing button clicking and that's not fun.
Dec 13th 2011 8:05PM Good topic, but it's all out the window as far as I have read. Apparently exploiting the Warzone queue is the flavor of the day.
Dec 13th 2011 8:03PM Good to admit failure. TR was one of the largest MO failures ever though. Better to let that tale die. Nothing's going to fix that tarnished image except time ... much like many current players never played UO, so that has not standing in Garriot's image anymore.
Dec 5th 2011 7:29PM Meh. Yeah, I'm a hater. Come on, logging into the SWTOR website had a queue.
