May 24th 2010 10:30AM I think the best person to write this might be a healer, who has tanked on another toon. Here's my two cents for what it's worth.
Make sure you know the defense cap for what you are running. I was healing H UP yesterday and had a pally that had something like 470 defense...we wiped on 3rd boss before I spoke up and said something (guy would get hit by mobs in run up and be at 50% health right away).
His response "I've tanked this with other groups and had my problem."
My response: "Yeah and I'm guessing they were over geared to the gills and made up for your problems."
May 11th 2010 6:43PM Would love to win a copy of this as I'm getting ready to start up a new guild!
Apr 28th 2010 4:51PM Want to see more weekend morning raiding guilds! I'm casual and the time that I can dedicate the most amount of time is weekend mornings. Would love to see if there's anymore out there (Horde btw...mountain standard time).
Mar 23rd 2010 5:43PM I disagree with your point 1 to a certain extent. I like hearing about Rossi and his exploits in the game. And of course the other guests/hosts. Now I don't want to hear them ramble on forever, but if they've finally got Lich King down lets hear about it. Or whatever else they might have done.
Feb 17th 2010 1:00PM Since there was a lot of Shammy talk on this episode I thought I'd throw this out there.
I'm leveling a Shammy (almost 18...horde btw) and I'm going Enhancement as that seems to be the "one" to level as and I'm getting along. I haven't found a "rotation" at this level or a best way to take stuff down so was wondering if some other people can chime in on these topics:
- What totems should I be dropping (only 1 fire, so that's pretty easy)?
- Weapons? Am I gimping myself with a 1H mace and shield? Should I go 2 handed if and when I can?
And I'm now kind of looking forward to the Water totem quest...but if it's anything like the warriors Whirlwind quest...maybe not so much!
Jan 17th 2010 2:22PM Rossi - I've been critical before and Wassul said it best. Your commentary is MUCH better than Turpsters, like Wassul said when you try to be funny it's over the top.
Having said that I'm starting to like this format better than the previous. Keep it up guys.
Dec 30th 2009 12:32PM There's hope! :) When Rossi talks game mechanics I love it, but when he goes off topic I'm not as interested. But did really enjoy them actually talking about the game and various different things!
So here's to having it improve as we move forward.
Dec 21st 2009 2:05PM I wasn't there for an after show, but this is interesting. I've noticed that the instance has gone to a bi-weekly (every 2 weeks) production rather than every week. Makes me wonder if one of the two of them, Scott or Randy, has decided to move on. I know Scott has broken out on his own and honestly is what makes that show go (IMO). If Turpster is brought in they need to have him there for a reason, not just his random remarks/comedy. When he brings nothing to the show I find him utterly boring, but when he talks about game and make smart remarks (like he has in the past) he's a blast to listen to.
Other random comments not related to The Instance.
- I thought Rossi would be a good host/co-host for the wow.com show, but after this weeks episode I'm not entirely sure about that. The previous episode he was on was awesome, but this one it was like he'd had WAY to much sugar. Perhaps Chase Christian? Very well spoken!
Dec 18th 2009 3:40PM Mike,
You will be missed. Always enjoyed listening to the podcast and hearing your thoughts on the game and all around it.
As for a replacement on the podcast I nominate Rossi!
Dec 9th 2009 1:38PM Here here!!! That's kind of what I thought this column might be about, rather than a rehash of all the other stuff. Even if it's basic strategies for BG's or how about strats for different types of players? Ie: Pally's better at healing or doing the DPS in BG's? Now that's what I'd like to read about or at least know more as I do more BG's.
