Mar 11th 2011 11:17AM Weird! My guild had a meet-up just last night and I ordered... steak frites! And beer.
Feb 25th 2011 6:48PM I do appreciate that there is a "moderate" option in the playstyle box, but I wish Blizzard would avoid the requirement for players or guilds to define themselves as "casual" or "hardcore". Players generally have such widely differing opinions regarding what each word means that it really serves nobody well.
And beyond that, wouldn't a prospective guildie need to know a lot more about a guild than whether it's casual or hardcore? Is it a raiding guild? Leveling guild? Does the guild like to PvP together? Is guild chat family friendly? etc etc
I guess I'm trying to say that I really hope that this system gives players and guilds alike a much more robust way to accurately describe themselves and their playstyles than just "casual/moderate/hardcore".
Feb 25th 2011 3:50PM I joined a small reroll guild that now has about 5 raid-ready toons who are running heroics and waiting for the others to catch up before we can field a raid. Meanwhile some of us are leveling second toons to help ensure that we have enough tanks and healers and general raid roster flexibility. We probably won't actually start raiding for another month or so, but it's in the plans.
Feb 18th 2011 4:12PM Maybe Shaman will finally get Spirit Link in a redesigned form that avoids the complications of previously attempted incarnations.
It could be shaman-flavored pain suppression ("Call upon an ancestral spirit to protect your target, reducing damage by 40% for 8 sec") or divine guardian. Maybe a cool graphic similar to the AA proc?
Jan 19th 2011 4:48PM Bah! That was totally another reply to Lemons above.
Jan 19th 2011 4:46PM Seriously though, I like all the little buffs.
Jan 19th 2011 4:44PM Someone needs to make some lemonade!
Jan 14th 2011 4:56PM Nope! I need constant reminders.
Seriously though, I just happen to prefer class colors to bright green bars for everybody. It looks good! It's also handy in pvp to immediately identify the class of your target, or potential targets, especially in chaotic BG encounters.
Jan 14th 2011 1:13PM I fully agree about the player unit frames. There's a simple addon called UnitFramesImproved that thickens your health bar while adding class colors. It's exactly how I wish the default frames looked.
Jan 7th 2011 6:38PM Is it certain that this issue is east coast only?
I live in Seattle (ISP: Comcast) and have been having horrible latency issues when I try to play my horde toons on the Durotan server (Chicago data center). However, I don't have any latency issues at all when I play on Skywall (LA data center).
