Jan 8th 2010 9:52AM I really hopes proves untrue. In my oppion a large part of WoW's success comes from it's casual friendly nature. While an authenticator is relatively cheap, it can be a major psychologic barrier for the casual crowd, and especially for prospective new players. A lot of people already balk at having to pay a monthly fee: I doubt they would react well to a gizmo that they NEED to shell out extra for and NEED to keep around at all times if they want to play the game. I doubt I would have started myself that was the case.
