May 2nd 2011 3:26PM I'm leveling an alt on Thorium Brotherhood-US, an RP realm, and I tried using the guild finder to look for Alliance guilds that promote RP events or have an RP purpose for existing. Unfortunately, it looks like the guilds that have advertised so far have just checked every toggle. When your guild description is something like, "We're a level 4 guild, we have bank slots, we're all cool and just like to take it easy", I don't really believe that the "Roleplaying" toggle means the same thing to you as it does to me.
Of course, there are better ways to look for RP in the official and unofficial realm forums. I suppose I was just hoping for some kind of magic bullet in the new feature.
Apr 28th 2011 12:21PM I used a talbuk on my draenei shaman for a long time and really liked it (purple, blue, and black mounts really match nicely to the draenei, I think). However, I think the talbuk uses the same skeleton as the horse, so you'd still have the splayed legs.

Oct 18th 2010 2:36AM I'm leveling a disc priest, currently level 41, and I'm loving the new changes. Atonement and Evangelism are a lot of fun. When I heal a dungeon, I shield the tank, then start smiting away (with a penance or holy fire thrown in for variety's sake). I find that I don't need to do anything more than shield and/or renew anyone in my party unless there is a big pull. I have a good time targeting casters and runners instead of spamming flash heal. I'll probably dual spec and try Holy, too, but I have a hard time imagining moving away from the 'Shields up!' style of play.
Plus, levitate and the wings from evangelism make for a cute screen grab!
Jun 28th 2010 11:21AM There is a note on the juggling torch item that says any character "knows how to juggle torches can catch it where it lands." I assume this means there is some kind of prerequisite. Did you druid do the torch-throwing quests at least once?
Feb 11th 2010 1:08PM Please feel free to downrank this if it is a stupid question, but what are the new quest mechanics in the Love is in the Air quests? I've down a few of the dailies and part of the quest chain (up to Man on the Inside, which I haven't done yet), and they don't seem any different to me.
Aug 21st 2009 8:29PM Well, you can call me a moronic newb or a casual player if you want (I've been playing since Jan 05, but I've never been much of an end game player), but I never figured most of those stats out. Near as I could tell, I had to go look up theorycrafting in order to find out how much expertise or hit I would want or what level of def would be needed for a tank. For example, how much hit does a class need to never miss with white damage? Maybe I'm wrong, but the only way to know that was to google for it. Ditto with becoming uncrushable.
Now, I'm not saying googling is hard, but I shouldn't need to rely on outside sources to figure out gameplay mechanics. I for one am thrilled that they are (hopefully) simplifying the stats.
