Oct 22nd 2009 5:29PM That's my assumption, yes. Of course we'll learn more as testing proceeds, but it certainly feels right that the guy has just joined the queue, thus it's showing the amount of gold he would get if he got it all himself.
Opens up the interesting idea of overgeared players getting some cash for undermanning heroics, as well the fun of the challenge.
Oct 21st 2009 9:51PM First of all, it says "the FIRST random dungeon you complete each day.."
Second, next to the 68g it says the rewards "scale with the number of random players included in your group."
Translation: it's a daily quest that pays 13 and a bit gold, just like all the other daily quests. Basically it replaces the current "Proof of Demise" random daily - since that was randomized on a server-by-server basis, it probably didn't fit well with instances being shared cross-server within a battlegroup.
Oct 10th 2009 10:09PM I'm pretty sure that any PvP death in your starting area would, technically, be "suicide," not "ganking."
Oct 10th 2009 4:16PM Dragon Age: Origins is coming out in a few weeks, if you want to play an excellent single-player game. Sounds like you might enjoy it more than an MMORPG.
Oct 9th 2009 5:45PM Yes, he's clearly talking looks, not stats. It's similar to Mugthol's in that it's an open-face helm with cheek-plates and big, fairly straight horns.
Oct 7th 2009 11:50PM I wouldn't worry about that, 3.3 isn't going to be be anytime soon (although I expect wow.com's first "will it be 3.3 this Tuesday?" article will be in about a week).
Oct 7th 2009 10:20PM Aha, fair enough, that's a plausible explanation. Guess I should make an effort to get the last 3 I need for Proof of Demise.
Oct 7th 2009 10:11PM Why on earth would Proof of Demise and Timear Foresees become feats of strength? I thought feats of strength were only for things that weren't really possible to pursue, either due to being no longer available (like the old honor system titles), or due to being the result of incredibly small random chances (like the Baron's mount)?
Oct 6th 2009 7:41PM Got a kodo (I'm alliance), got Brewmaster, finished Long Strange Trip, got my violet drake. Couldn't ask for much more!
Oct 2nd 2009 5:14PM Speaking of low droprates, I want to know how so many people seem to have the remote. Across I-don't-know-how-many-kills last year and this year, I've never even seen it drop, let alone won it. I've seen multiple mounts and weapons and still never a remote.
