Oct 24th 2011 10:28AM The Monk's animations are making me convinced that the older race revamps are gonna come in MoP, or most likely in 5.0. The video the other guy linked with the Pandaren Animations looks really cool, and with the Monk animations being shown too, they've gotta have similar animations for the other races that choose Monk. And with TOR coming soon, with it's nice animations, I feel like Blizzard have to compete.
Also the Warlock talent that has all those improved demons might hint to some sort of better pet models. Wait, didn't they promise new male/female forms in Cataclysm?
And would it be too much to ask to get non looping animations for casting spells? That's what it seems from the Monk animations for fighting. Maybe for example, on Summon Imp, you would see the Imp gradually crawl out of the ground as the spell's being cast. Or maybe Pyroblast would see the fireball gradually get larger as your casting.
Oct 1st 2011 5:24PM I've always thought Rogue Tanking would be a great idea. I mean, I have no idea as to the viability of each of the current specs, but is there one that is severely underutilised? Maybe change that one to more of a tanking spec. Make it based on dodges and blocks, but still generate threat. Tanks are always in need, and having a new Tank class would rule.
Apr 22nd 2011 12:38PM Thanks for the response. I reckon I'll start with The Shattering since
it's the most recent lore-wise and the most consistently recommended.
Also on my end, it appears none of the Warcraft books are available on
Kindle. After a quick googling, it appears that it's not
internationally available for a UK citizen such as myself.
Apr 21st 2011 7:21PM Which books set in the Warcraft Universe would you recommend reading? I was thinking of reading Stormrage, The Shattering and Arthas: Rise Of The Lich King.
Also I was hoping to spread the word for people to request these books to be converted to eReader form, which you can do on the Amazon page for the books.
Dec 23rd 2010 1:25PM As someone who levelled to 80 before the Shattering, am I missing out on any useful phased things, like flight paths?
Dec 23rd 2010 11:15AM I've always wanted a way to make the older dungeons more viable. It's kind of a shame that there are these huge amounts of dungeons & raids at 60, 70 and 80 for when they were the end-game and Blizzard added new dungeons in patches, and no-one experiences them except for people who level cap at 60, which is annoying since you can never find a group and you have to sacrifice the time to get to the higher content because you want to experience all the game has to offer.
One way to do this would be to make all of these heroics for lvl 85's. But the problem with this would be the gear rewards. Any set pieces from these dungeons would be updated to 85, but once the lvl 90 expansion comes out, these are suddenly useless. So I was thinking, once you obtain all the set pieces for a particular set, there is a guy in Orgrimmar or Stormwind, who will turn your entire set into a trinket (or glyph), which not only gives you the particular set bonuses of the tier, but also casts a permanent illusion that makes you look like your wearing that set.
Either that or a way to combine one items looks with another items stats.
Apr 7th 2010 8:53AM My only wish-list item is for pure aesthetic purposes and this doesn't really fall under the Bear wish-list.
-New, better resolution skins for Tree Form, Aquatic Form, Travel Form and Moonkin Form.
-Armour plating on Bear and Cat form to reflect the armour rating of the character.
Starts with a leather covering, but soon becomes a metal plating (think the Bears in Northern Lights), and slowly upgrades to more intricate metalwork.
Mar 3rd 2010 11:21AM Man, don't just stop at redoing Wrath, I'd love to redo some of BC as well. For one, make Illidan a bigger presence throughout the content, and Maiev Shadowsong as well, it was kinda bad how her only presence to non-raiders was in some obscure prison cell somewhere, with Akama guarding.
As for Wrath, I wish phasing had been implemented earlier on in the content, and more often throughout, even for little things. I remember doing an escort quest in Howling Fjord, fully expecting the guy I had escorted to be gone when I came back, but there he was, as if I'd never done it. It gives more of a sense of progression.
Nov 12th 2009 4:25PM I'm putting this out there, Uther will be the new Lich King once Arthas is defeated. Or maybe Thrall? That would sort out his disappearance in Cataclysm.
Failing that, consider any of the other faction leaders who are coming along for the ride: Jaina, Sylvanas, Fordring, Garrosh, Varian, Mograine. Any one of these could be a possible future Lich King who is more 'stable' than Arthas and could prevent the scourge from attacking at all. But I'm leaning more towards Paladins, Death Knights or Orc Shamans (because of Ner'zhul).
Oct 3rd 2009 7:02PM I originally rolled a Tauren Shaman on my 10-day trial, but then couldn't figure out to renew my account, so I started another one and rolled a Tauren Druid, for a bit of variety and cause I would be bored with the first 20 levels again. I've never looked back.
I'm not sure why, but certain race/class combinations make more sense to me than others. Orc's can only be warriors for me, Tauren's everything, Forsaken can be mages, warlocks and rogues for some reason, Trolls can be nothing, Blood elves can be Paladins, Mages and Priests, Draenei - Shamans, Humans - everything, Gnomes, nothing, Dwarves - only hunters, and Nelves, can be everything too, and I have no idea why. OCD?
