Is it time to kill tanking? {WoW}

Aug 25th 2011 8:10PM Agreed. A majority of people play WOW for fun. Tanks take responsibility for an entire group, and are expected to know dungeons and fight mechanics to the T. Most people find it too much pressure to enjoy.

Patch 4.1 will not contain Firelands raid content {WoW}

Mar 3rd 2011 8:12PM Glad to hear. Our guild has only downed Halfus and Magma at this point.

Ready Check: Getting your raid going {WoW}

Feb 3rd 2011 6:50PM I really question having an enrage timer on the first boss for an entry level raid (Halfus). My guild wiped for about an hour trying to figure out how to handle the drakes. We eventually figured out a plan that kept everyone alive while downing the drakes, but then we ran into the enrage timer. We just didn't have the dps. Nearly everyone was in level 346 gear. The guild is definitely a casual guild, no hardcore players. Does Blizzard want to keep the casuals from raiding? Sure enough, the next week, only half of our raiding team showed up.

Breakfast Topic: Has Cataclysm let you down? {WoW}

Jan 11th 2011 1:44PM I'm disappointed in Blizzard's concept of the way we want to do dungeons. A blue post a few weeks ago read something like this, "PUGS need to work together now. If you want to steamroll through dungeons, queue for the normal."

Do they not play their own game? We PUG for a reason. We want to hop in a dungeon, have some fun, down some bosses and grab some loot. I've found that maybe 75% of groups rarely talk to each at all, except for the occasional "WTF healz?!" after a boss wipe (I'm a holy priest). To all of a sudden claim, "PUGS need to communicate now" is just not going to happen. And to be truthful, I'm a 29 year old man, I really don't want to talk with a 13 year old emo kid.

WOW players communicate when we are on vent, doing raid progression with our guild that we choose to be in. We can't choose who we pug with.

I was hoping Blizzard would implement 3 difficulty levels for dungeons. Normal, Heroic, and an epic setting. The heroic setting would still be a challenge, but a challenge that is more easily manageable by a group of strangers. The epic setting would be just one notch below the difficulty of raids, designed to be run by guilds, or a group communicating over vent. Of course the loot for the epic setting would be, well, epic. Plus, this gives a chance for casual players who aren't in a guild's raid team, or have the time to give up 3-4 hours a night, to work with guild leaders, improve their skills and gear up for future raids (and have fun). I'd much rather spend an hour with guild members than an hour with a PUG.

We Tried It: Bill Clinton's Heart-Healthy Diet {That's Fit}

Nov 7th 2010 11:55AM What a horrible, horrible diet. This is based on the now-defunct idea that animal fats cause heart disease. I wonder if this "Dr." also uses bloodletting to cure diseases.

Don't listen to this Vegan B.S. A low-carb approach would achieved the same results without the 'cravings'(the craving feeling is your body desperately trying to get some healthy fat in your system)

Enjoy wasting away!

BlizzCon 2009: Cataclysm, the story so far {WoW}

Aug 22nd 2009 11:03AM They're going to release this as close to the release date of Star Wars: Old Republic as possible. My prediction.
