The Guild episode 2 of season 3 {WoW}

Sep 8th 2009 5:30PM As someone who is fat, lazy and lives at home with his parents, I take offense to this comment. Just because my only goals consist of collecting imaginary items that serve no real world function that doesn't make you better than me.

Breakfast Topic: The trouble with instance servers {WoW}

Sep 2nd 2009 8:17AM I can only guess, but I think when they did whatever it was that they were doing yesterday that they messed something up somehow. Perhaps someone tripped over the plug and didn't properly log out of Windows or something. Anyway, it screwed things up pretty bad which was why they had to keep extending the down time.

Well, the end of their workday was getting close and the realized that they wouldn't be able to fix the problem before their day was over. So, the packed things up, restarted the servers using their backups and decided they would attempt to fix the problem the following morning (today).

That's my guess anyway.

Sep 2nd 2009 8:09AM Well, they are bringing down a bunch of servers again today. They look to be the same servers that were undergoing the scheduled extended maintenance from yesterday. They must not have been able to fix whatever was wrong from yesterday before their work day was over so they brought the servers back up and will continue working on the problem this morning.

Officers' Quarters: Cataclysm's guild revamp -- leveling and talents {WoW}

Aug 31st 2009 2:30PM I'm curious to find out if your personal achievements that you've already accomplished will be carried over into the guild advancement when it gets implemented.

I'm currently exalted in most of the various factions in the game. Will this prevent me from gaining experience for my guild in this way, or will the experience I would have gotten automatically be added?

Breakfast Topic: Will you miss the Old World? {WoW}

Aug 27th 2009 8:14AM I don't know how it is on your realm, but Barrens chat has simply been replaced by trade chat which is so much worse. At least Barrens chat was relegated to a single zone that relatively speaking wasn't used all that much. Trade chat on the other hand takes place in every major city, and the only way to avoid it is to leave the channel. Then of course you miss out on what the purpose of the channel was for in the first place, trade.

BlizzCon 2009: Premonition live raid {WoW}

Aug 23rd 2009 7:55AM I think the reason that there is nothing comparable on the Horde side is because the whole Hogger thing was never something intended by Blizzard. It just sort of happened, and I don't think there is a way the developers can force the same thing on the Horde side.

I don't really know why he became the big craze that he is, but I guess the same question could be asked about anything that becomes popular.

Aug 22nd 2009 2:58PM I do too. I'm not sure why it's so difficult.

I use to play Asheron's Call a few years ago, and they had housing and it seemed to work out okay.

Aug 22nd 2009 2:51PM Guild housing would be pretty awesome.

Aug 22nd 2009 2:40PM If you go to the general forum on WoW's website, there is a sticky that addresses this issue. I personally think they dropped the ball on this thing, but at least they are finally getting around to doing something about it.

Aug 22nd 2009 2:37PM I think that's how it should be. You shouldn't be rewarded for losing.
