All the World's a Stage: Roleplaying Q&A {WoW}

Feb 14th 2011 5:37PM Although they may not be as ridiculously buff as, say, male orcs or male draenei, take a look at the musculature on the male blood elf model. Under those robes, their biceps are about as big as their heads. Not exactly the body of most 13-year-old boys! -- or most adult men, for that matter. ;)

The Queue: Shattering is over, time to go home {WoW}

Nov 24th 2010 3:26PM As far as I can tell, Horde players have to catch the boat from Stormwind to Rutha'ran in order to go to both Darnassus or the Exodar -- which was a real pain for me this morning, as the city guards are now 85 and can tear you up. Sigh.

Win a Pandaren Monk from WoW Insider {WoW}

Nov 23rd 2010 2:49PM Oh, Pandaren Monk, come and teach me your Pandaren ways!

Arcane Brilliance: Random postpatchery {WoW}

Oct 26th 2010 12:57PM Oh, Blizzard, again with the gigantic belts? They keep falling off my dainty blood elf hips! Do you ever try these things on anything but a human male model?

George W. Bush canceled Reading Rainbow {AOL TV}

Aug 29th 2009 5:52PM As the NPR article points out, Reading Rainbow operated under the assumption that the kids watching already knew how to read.

I heard that assumption too, and I think it's bogus. You didn't have to know how to read to enjoy Reading Rainbow -- on the contrary, the show read you a story every day! Rather, the message was "Reading brings adventure and independence and is lots of fun -- and you can do it, too!" The show didn't require kids to read; it inspired them to learn.

Merlin: To Kill The King/Le Morte D'Arthur (season finale) - open thread {AOL TV}

Aug 24th 2009 6:26PM I do like the show and I'd love to see NBC bring us more of it! At its best, it's fun and clever and the cast are capable of some really good performances. I had some initial reservations about messing with the legends, but I suppose if anyone has the right to rewrite Arthurian legend, it's the Brits.

I thought the first of last night's two episodes didn't really get good until the last ten minutes, but the finale was a good one. We've seen a lot of sides to Nimueh in the four episodes she's been in, haven't we?

I'd babble more, but I'll let you read it here if you're interested: :)
