Oct 4th 2010 11:11AM At level 70, after a duel outside Undercity, I suddenly died. I couldn't understand it and checked my combat log.
I'd been killed by a level 9 darkhound.
Jun 24th 2010 9:08AM "Outgoing Pending invites: would be nice to see who's still hasn't accepted and who has declined."
The reason for not letting you see who's not accepted and who's declined is to protect people's privacy. Suppose someone were to make up random emails at common domains like gmail.com, aol.com etc and try to friend them (not really a 'suppose' as it happens in other media eg email spam). When they hit on a legitimate email address it will actually get sent to someone, who, if they're smart, will reject the request. If your first person could see that, they now know that's a legitimate email address and battle.net username. Not so good...
Jun 17th 2010 3:34AM I think that's a perfectly good reason *for* allowing a warlock to have an incubus, not against. ;)
Apr 29th 2010 6:07AM Why should the choice to run 10-man be a 'casual' choice? As most people agree, in terms of difficulty for the individual player on many bosses it's the harder choice even now. And as Blizz say they will normalise the difficulty and restrict the lockouts then you can't say 10-mans are easier *or* more time-consuming (in terms of actual time spent raiding, not time spent waiting for the cats to get herded - hardcore guilds know how to herd cats effectively).
So is it just that we're used to the idea that because the loot in 10-mans is lower quality, the raids themselves must somehow automatically be casual? Even for the strict 10-man guilds working on heroic modes?
Apr 22nd 2010 3:43AM Foolish Endeavours, a quest in a Horde Borean Tundra chain. Garrosh sends you to pretty much certain death, and Saurfang shows up at the right moment to protect you and then tells you to keep quiet about his intervention. The impact of Saurfang's reveal gets me every time and explains why all my (Horde) toons are Saurfang's men (well female taurens, female UDs, female orcs...).
Jan 19th 2010 12:44PM @Hoggersbud - because the point of the article and many of the comments is to *stop* worrying about setting or enforcing a bar with strangers in heroics, apart from the practical bar of whether the whole group can complete the instance. Your question therefore misses the point.
Jan 17th 2010 7:09PM It is kind of ironic, the people replying "You're not the centre of the universe", seeing as that was the much more polite and better-put point of Halgrimur's post, only going the other way. ;)
Jan 17th 2010 6:53PM Yeah, regarding Adam's "Besides, aren't Leno and Conan on one of the channels over there?", not to labour your point, Lospringlos, but...
There are rather a few separate countries with separate cultures 'over here', most if not all of which have their own TV networks showing different programmes. That comment sounded rather like, when I say I'm from Scotland, someone replying "Oh, do you know my friend Mary then? She lives in Dublin. That's not far, is it?" Technically, no it's not, but the chances are still slim that I will know her ;)
If it was irony, Adam, I /salute you :)
Jan 15th 2010 3:45PM I've been seeing you on the comments, wondering if it was you ;) I have a new main, I suppose you'd call her, now, but ask in guild and someone will know where I am.
And hope to see you back soon :)
Jan 15th 2010 2:45PM If you're who I think you are, look me up in game. If there's a problem shipping an EU authenticator (keyfob type) to where you are, I'm willing to order one and send you it.
