Know Your Lore: Never to rise again {WoW}

Apr 4th 2012 2:56PM Batman has been fighting the Joker for what, 50 years? Superman has had Lex Luther for 60 years?

It's good to have new enemies, but sometimes the classic villains are so good, you can just use them again in new ways and have it be just as fun as the first time

Apr 4th 2012 2:54PM canonically, it was "Tirion Fordring and a group of heroes"

I still say, it was the horde, because the world first 25h LK was done by a horde guild, but that's just my way of seeing it.

Apr 4th 2012 2:50PM Ooooh, I like that. I like that a lot. Makes a lot of sense lore-wise, and it would allow players to continue doing northrend as it has in the past without major changes, and no need to retcon bolvar off the top of the citadel.

Apr 4th 2012 2:48PM Very interesting theories. I like the idea of the phylacteries being just like the horcruxes of Voldemort - being split in ways no one had ever considered possible.

And if the heart was part of Arthas' good side, then I would argue that this even furthers the idea that Mathias Lerner was NOT a part of Arthas, but rather a hallucination put upon you by Yogg-Saron. As far as I remember, spectral projection and hallucination was not a power that the Lich King ever showed, but is indeed a power that the Old God displayed, time and again in fact.

And I think it would be awesome to have a reforged Frostmourne made by Sylvanas. That would be perfect. Would love to see her be the end boss of wow 6.0 - Rise and Fall of the Lich Queen.

Spiritual Guidance: First hands-on look at the Mists of Pandaria shadow priest {WoW}

Apr 4th 2012 2:20PM Looks like they just rolled DP into SW:P. I'm not a dot-type dps lover, but I would imagine casting a dot once and never casting it again but just watching its timer, is probably not a lot of fun.

I really want to see a shadow priest cast Tranquility. I wonder if it will break shadowform?

Apr 4th 2012 2:12PM Someone else made a similar comment, so I feel no remorse in repeating this to you:

Okay yes, the Fungi Kingdom is not the same as the Plantae Kingdom. No need to get overly-technical with the taxonomy of fantasy species minduim.

Apr 4th 2012 2:10PM It would look like the horde symbol, and of course you could get it from playing wow ^_^

Apr 4th 2012 1:26PM My understanding is that Brewmasters (tank) use a 2h polearm or staff, and the Windwalkers (melee dps) will dual-wield 1h-agility weapons. Healers at current seem to only be able to use staves, since monks currently can't equip off-hand caster items (wtf is up with that?)
