I laughed and laughed and laughed, so hard I almost used the Oxford comma

Arcane Brilliance: Do mages need to be hit-capped? {WoW}

May 29th 2011 10:31AM thats a good question. I tried to raise it in the Queque but got nothing.. I don't think anything offically has been said, since blizzard made the original comments

Arcane Brilliance: Do mages need to be hit-capped? {WoW}

May 29th 2011 6:46AM Misunderstood theorycrafting is to blame for this; its true int > hit. What n00bs forget is that Hit > all other secondary stats

However this isn't helped by top geared / BiS mages not having 17%, I went throught the top EU *equiped* mages on wowprogress and they had an average hit of 14.68%, st. dev 1.02%. this isn't because they don't value hit- its because there is less gear with +hit (there are more options at 359 ilevel- rep/crafting/archy for example).

Also less +hit gear at ilevel 372.

There is no reason for players in ilevel 359 gear not to be hit capped.

May 23rd 2011 5:55AM Wasn't there talk at the start of this expansion that in the next raiding tier there would be a greater +hit requirement to help combat stat inflation? Do we know what has become of this?

Apr 25th 2011 4:33AM Q: What odds does WoW-Insider put on there being an achivement/mini-event? for the royal wedding?

While not a big fan myeslf; this is a big, once a generation thing for Commonwealth nations

Arcane Brilliance: Mage armors and the mages who armor themselves with them {WoW}

Apr 17th 2011 2:58AM Nice. how about an example?

Neffer is great for switching armor and will only take a run or two to sort the timing, changing for Electrocute and on the transfer to the columns, will make your healers love you (resistances FTW and you get a little mana back)- if your going hardcore bandage during the change for another tick and let the focus on higher priorities

I don't swtich on around on any of ther other bosses, unless I've gone a little crazy/careless and run low on mana.

Feb 21st 2011 1:14PM I have a question (I tried to post this a few days ago but I think it disappeared into the nether).

I’m confused about gemming in Cataclysm. Because primary stats are so strong, gemming for any combination that won't give the maximum primary stat bonus appears insane (and gold wasteful). So why give a socket bonus that isn’t' better then or equal to the lost of 20 primary stat points?

Looking at some of the EJ numbers there would be some big socket bonuses!

If this is the case, why didn't they go with something like +30 on the stat only gems to make +20 primary + 20 xyz stat more tempting?

Jan 21st 2011 6:42AM Hi Guys.

I have a question for Know-i-est Guys (and Gals) of Warcraft

What is WoW Insiders postion on Heroics as a destination rather than a stepping stone to raiding?

Also does this (in your humble opinion of course) contradict Blizzards effort to open end game content to a larger player base?
