The Queue: Aaaaaaaaaaa {WoW}

Dec 5th 2010 6:17PM To add to this in a totally random way...

Even is pointing to Go'el as becoming the next Earth-Warder... has anyone considered Magni... especially considering Kalimag's (sp?) Fortune given as part of the cataclyms mini-website-warm-up-festivities

" When the winds scream and the stones shudder, the mountain king shall look to the earth for reasons why. He shall taste the soil beneath his feet and ask its advice in a tongue no longer his own. In reply, he shall be made one with his past and transformed into a paragon among mere stone."

*psss Im referring to "In reply, he shall be made one with his past and transformed into a paragon among mere stone."

Gold Capped: Ask an auctioneer -- auction house PvP {WoW}

Sep 2nd 2010 3:04AM Hi guys

Not everyone can be Millionaires IRL and the same is true in WoW. A carpenter is still a carpenter when there is work and when there is not- yes if things where bad if he reskilled and did something else he would make more money again, but he knows his work cycle (and with some practice can optimise income from those skills)

With this in mind- niche markets are great for getting financial independent (read getting ~ 100k) without to much effort. Not load but enough to do whatever I like and something that can be attained by almost everyone.

I do niche markets, because I have limited time and generally I am making gold. But the cost is that sometimes I won't make gold from a specific market for weeks! When this happens either I am buying up my competitors unpriced items to sell later or waiting for the market to settle due to patches/new competitor/random supply flood etc.

Also once your a player in a market you can segement your own pricing too (again something covered by BB) to price to the middle for your bread and butter and then a premium on items before you get a chance to log back on.

Ready Check: You're fired, redux {WoW}

May 14th 2010 3:04PM casuals don't need top level gear- and even T10 is given away with the amount of Frost badges you can get a week- just have to be focused and not give into instant gratification

Time Is Money: Hate mail from competitors {WoW}

May 9th 2010 6:38AM I was starting to have a similar problem- mostly because I was lazy and didn't want to diversify beyond my mains professions; AND these markets where heavily monopilised.

Time passes and a get the hang of the ebb and flow of the market and using some overlly complicated real world stuff I forcast if I can get he the price to lower per item by about 3g demand would go increase more then enough to cover a reduction per unit. (and the added benifit of improved gold-flow and inventory turn around)

I recieved lots of fan mail as I started gently lowering my prices, blah blah blah happens and its now starting to bug me- and it occured to me that I was being singled out; how best not to be singled out, be part of the crowd; so I turned to very low level alts into bankers-toons (I needed them to hold cash anyway) and split my auction posts between them.

It takes a little bit longer, but it quickly sorted my hate mail as I was now one of the crowd.

Arcane Brilliance: Patch 3.3.3 PTR changes for mages {WoW}

Feb 27th 2010 3:54PM rubbish.

fire is so much more mindles

Toravon: Strategy for the latest Wintergrasp boss {WoW}

Feb 11th 2010 1:42AM Just to be helpful, yes Mage Armour will help your resistance (+40 I believe untalented), the counter balance of this that you might be getting more +crit than you realise from your T9 set and it can be a major DPS hit... Even for Arcane!

"Frost Ward the orb and you get extra spellpower. It's like Blizzard is asking you to stand in the fire!"

That is very true... however the Arcane Build is very heavy with next to no personalisation options. Specing into Incanter's Absorption comes at a cost of talent points spent on things that provide a benifit 100%... although as you rightly say is lesser.

Ensidia temporarily banned for exploits {WoW}

Feb 4th 2010 2:31PM Saronite Bombs in a rogues rotation? They always do this? Maybe this is a question for our resident rogue writer, as I have never heard of having bombs as a core rotation device.

Arcane Brilliance: Why I hate DPS meters {WoW}

Jan 24th 2010 3:53AM "...to the point that other mobs in the instance see what's happening and just leave."

LMAO!

But on a more serious note, you are correct. DMG meters change the nature of things in anything less then challanging content (raid).

BUT if you really are serious about damage meters- recount and other addons are not the way to do it. They are so flawed its joke. Learn Excel, switch on the combatlog and go crazy! or even upload it to one of the many websites.

Why you don't have freedom of speech in WoW {WoW}

Dec 15th 2009 2:13AM I have two things to add

1. You have no rights. You have rights AND responsibilites- they are inseparable, to enjoy one you must obey the other.

2. Only the US has a freedom of speech and its definately not so you can QQ whenever you want. But if you want to set up a religion...

Raid Rx: Maximizing the proc {WoW}

Nov 28th 2009 5:10AM "Here's a great guideline to follow when deciding trinket use that has served me well over the years.

If you have to ask yourself if this is a good time to use a trinket, it probably is."

I love it and your dead right.

Some encounters are really simple in how they tick over phase one, phase two, etc and you know when to use it and how to get the most kick out of it by it actually cooling down so it can be used again (IMO if your not letting it cooldown or holding it all the time, your probly better of with a different trinket- but that is a different discusion).

Others are much more slippery, Heroic Jar for example where you just get so busy and you want to save it for a boost
