15 Minutes of Fame: When WoW meets real-world religion, part 2 {WoW}

Sep 22nd 2010 12:59AM Several years ago I ran across a level 19 priest named Aeriela that was killing some elite ogres in loch modan, I was only level 14 at the time so the ogres were way out of my league, but I decided to be the 'bait' for them anyways to have some fun and ended up forming a friendship with the priest. We leveled all the way into our 50s together before I took a break for RL reasons. On that first day together I found out the priest was actually a pastor in real life. He was a really caring guy and lots of fun to play with too. I've definitely seen people from many walks of life in this game and I think it's nice to see that even holy types aren't afraid to let loose and enjoy a bit of gaming from time to time.

Aug 6th 2010 2:46PM My favorite is Lament of the Highborne which Sylvannas sings when you turn in a necklace found in the Ghostlands. If you ever catch it playing in UC run down to the throne room to see her and her ghostly choir.

Jul 27th 2010 4:04AM Goblin port? The majority of ships and background buildings in this shot look Orcish in nature. Only the left ship and the floating skull balloons look Goblin in nature which makes the Goblins look more like visitors than owners of this particular location. I find it exciting to see the new things, nonetheless. :-)
