Totem Talk: Totems and heroics in Cataclysm {WoW}

Sep 28th 2010 3:56PM Will there be a change in the functionality of spirit? As it stands now spirit is useless to us for a reason. Come cata, should we wait 5 seconds, then cast mana tide so it actually restores mana?

Sep 26th 2010 8:14PM I'm curious what the tribunal meant by referring to the old gods as "necrophotic." While playing through myself I overlooked that particular word, probably assuming it said "necrophilic." Necrophilic would seem to make more sense for the old gods, since it translates to something like "death loving." Photic on the other hand refers to light. Necrophotic would translate to something like death light, or perhaps death of light. which to me makes no sense at all. Is it possible that the death gods are somehow connected to the light, either in the sense of being made of it or in the sense of being antagonists to it? Or is that perhaps a typo on the part of the developers?

The Queue: Getting ready for heroics edition {WoW}

Sep 22nd 2010 3:26PM Will we ever see a system, be it a channel or a queue or something else altogether, that allows people to leave a capital city while looking for a raid pug? Standing around waiting for someone to say they're looking for more is boring, and there are flowers I could be picking!

The Queue: Officially on notice {WoW}

Mar 12th 2010 12:51PM I'm thinking of upgrading from XP to Windows 7, if backup my WoW folder, then stick it back in my program files once I've upgraded, will WoW still work? If not, what's the best (see:fastest) way to go from not having WoW at all to having the most recently patched version?

Aug 30th 2009 6:22PM true character customization is a pipe dream. as long as the worth of a dps class is dependent on how big that number is at the end of the fight, there will always be a best spec. the only exception is if they placed a hard cap on how high dps can go, and made all three specs capable of hitting it. players would hate that of course, but it would be the price they pay for being able to play their own way. they have to do that now, actually. you're welcome to spec frost in ulduar if that's your play style, just dont expect to be top dps. basically, you will always have to choose between customization and dps, end of story.
