Shifting Perspectives: Building a better Insect Swarm for Mists {WoW}

Feb 26th 2012 8:04PM Kind of off topic but....

Since they keep changing the visuals for Hurricane, I would SO love it if they added a visual to IS. It would be so awesome to have little bugs swarming around Azshara and other mob's heads. hee hee....

3 things Warzones taught me to love about Battlegrounds {WoW}

Feb 21st 2012 6:25PM Needed in SW:TOR: LEVEL BRACKETS!!

I remember back in vanilla wow when I dinged level 10 and the option to play battlegrounds opened up. My husband and I grouped up and joined the queue, and got into a Warsong. Now, this was back in the day when getting into a battleground didn't automatically put you in group with the others on your team, you had to do that yourself. Now, because we were in a small group (my husband and I) everyone expected us to a) invite them all to group, and b) know what we were doing. Needless to say the whole experience went horribly, and I steered clear of bg's until I leveled a bit.

When I DID try bg's again, I quickly learned that it was best not to join bg's in the low levels of the bracket, as you would get pwned, but it wouldn't take long before you were at the top and could fight as intended.

Now, SW:TOR. My little toon got to level 16 or so and the wargames option came up. So I decided to try it out. I was put in a group with people in their 20s, 30s, even 40s. Because my toon is a healer, I spent the warzone trying to desperately get heals up killing my teammates alive, hoping the other side didn't see me. Once they did, I was dead.

Blue Posts and Other WoW News: Chris Metzen's curious tweets {WoW}

Feb 21st 2012 6:07PM I'm kind of surprised no one has mentioned but... King Terenas Menethil II. It would be so crazy, no matter which way you did it.

If he has been missing and somehow lost his memory, it would be like "Hey, its the rightful king of Lordaeron... which is now overrun by forsaken. Great." Or maybe he has a gap in his memory. "My son, is what? Dead? He killed me? He was crazy evil?? Wha???"

Or maybe he remembers everything. Where has he been? What does he think of his son killing him, and then being killed?

What would happen to Lordaeron?? Would he challenge Sylvannus? Would he take charge of an area of Stormwind (fat chance on Varian letting him do that).

The whole idea of bringing him back, especially since the plot point is HUGE to Warcraft lore is frankly too looney not to think about.

5 not-so-simple ways Blizzard can fix the World of Warcraft Auction House {WoW}

Feb 21st 2012 5:50PM Stupid Boomkin Industries would never be a publicly traded company as it would not make any profit and go poof long before it ever got there.

Now Boomin' Boomkin Industries, or Tree of Life o' Plenty corp, those companies would make big bucks!

Feb 15th 2012 11:56AM The nice thing about playing in a symphony is that you have a steady job. Gigs and the like will probably pay more money (depending on the chair and the symphony's finances) but they aren't necessarily steady.

And there ARE jobs in a symphony that aren't actually on stage playing. Adam said he left the symphony but not what job. I'm still just saying that combining my relatively stuffy symphony world with my wow world seems really strange lol

Feb 14th 2012 1:18PM I'm still dealing with the whole "You left your job at the symphony" comment.

As a cellist (not professional, alas), it feels like my worlds are colliding!! Adam, what are you doing???

Breakfast Topic: What's the best quest zone in the game? {WoW}

Feb 11th 2012 8:18PM HELLFIRE!!!

/ducks

(Seriously though, I'm not sure the zone is really that badly developed. I think its more that every alt I make has to quest there, and so it just gets overdone. Having some choice = good. I really really hope Blizz remembers that in MoP, I got the impression from blizzcon they don't...)

Feb 6th 2012 1:12PM Anyone know if the charms for making bracelets in the Love in is the Air holiday are dropped as intended? It seems they drop so infrequently I could be playing most of the day and still only have enough charms to make 1 or 2. And when there are dailies in each city, that means you'd need at least 4 a day to make the most of the holiday. So I'm not sure if the drop rate needs to be fixed, or like Blizz likes to say its 'working as intended', but would be nice to get more of em!

In defense of intellect plate {WoW}

Feb 6th 2012 1:00PM It reminds me of raiding Karazahn back in the day on my boomkin. If I wanted to stay competitive gear-wise, I had to take cloth. To this day it sends shivers down my spine. Other than the tier sets, there was no such thing as spell-dps leather. And as long as I was doing my job correctly, I didn't NEED the extra armour that the leather would provide. But it was the whole idea of being able to wear leather but having to wear cloth I didn't like. So I say keep the int plate! Wear it with pride! (And the cloth wearers were also grateful when they added boomkin leather, as it meant we weren't rolling on their drops anymore lol)
