Scattered Shots: 4.0.1 hunter gems, glyphs and stat weights {WoW}

Oct 18th 2010 3:39PM I noticed on my hunter that his happiness level display was different than if I checked the Pet Details screen. Could be a bug.

Class Q&A: Druid {WoW}

Jul 15th 2009 10:33AM True, I hope nobody ever figures out that we're really tri-specced. I can top-5 DPS plus main tank with two sets of gear + one spec, then top the healing meters with my resto gear/spec in Ulduar-25-hard encounters. I LOVE IT!!!

Win a year of Curse's premium service {WoW}

Guessing on the patch 3.1 release {WoW}

Apr 8th 2009 2:39PM I'm afraid it will be next Tuesday. That leaves me just this week to get my 10 man OS3D for my achievement... let it be tonight!!

Why healing meters suck {WoW}

Jan 9th 2009 11:39AM Healing meters don't suck. They're useless as a tool to monitor a healer's effectiveness, but they don't suck. They should be viewed as nothing more than an extra little tool to watch while raiding, nothing more.

I wish it could track effective heal per mana used. Now there's a stat that would provide some value.

Our COH priests CONSTANTLY top the effective heals charts, AND the overheals charts. Why? Because as soon as someone gets so much as a bruise, they spam COH. Yes, this gets them some good effective heals, but it's mostly overkill. Here's the big difference, though: they all call for innervates. Therefore, they're outhealing me (druid) by a small margin, yet it's requiring double the mana to do it.

So, someone put this stat in for me into WWS or recount, please (effective heals per mana used).

Breakfast Topic: The oldest WoW player you know {WoW}

Jan 7th 2009 1:39PM I'm 35. My uncle plays on the same server as I do, and he's 53. We don't group much together, because he's usually a slight liability in raids. This may or may not have anything to do with his age.

However, you won't find a more generous person in WoW. He's always willing to devote his time/resources to helping whomever do whatever.

Shifting Perspectives: Let my kitties go! {WoW}

Nov 12th 2008 9:04AM While I agree with what the author says, I found the writing style to be a bit dramatic. Yes, customization would be great when shifted (the only time we're homogeneous), but we've got customization options when not shifted (in cities, traveling, prepping for an IZ).

If the model from one small part of the game haunts you enough to write as you did above, then maybe WoW isn't the game for you.
