Apr 3rd 2012 6:40PM I'd have to disagree with the letter of this article, if not the spirit. Sexism is a problem but I think a mountain is being made out of a mole hill because a bunch of disparate threads are all being tied together into one argument, and whenever someone makes a decent argument against one thread, opponents are just shifting the argument to another. I haven't experienced harassment, don't think the quest text is interpreted that way, I *have* experienced harrassment, therefor my interpretation of the quest text is correct. Really, any anecdotal evidence is completely irrelevant and only serves to divert the conversation. I have a guildie who is harrassed by the ladies in my guild because they think his voice is sexy. None of that has anything to do with the game design.
And something that really stuck out to me, that seems just ridiculous, is that Garrosh calling Sylvanas a bitch should have never made it to live. Should we whitewash all sexism and negative traits from all story telling since it's bad? Garrosh didn't call Sylvanas a bitch and all the horde cheered and said, "yeah you put that woman in her place". He called her a bitch and it was one of the many things that made garrosh look like a dick (woah maybe i should say unkind fellow, don't want to be sexist)
Mar 26th 2012 10:27PM How could you miss the most amazing resto druid glyph, and the one i've been waiting for so long? Glyph of Lifebloom! Now I don't have to constantly waste GCDs on putting lifebloom on the new tank in tank swaps.
Feb 24th 2012 8:30AM Ugh, I hate this and comments like this in LFR. OH THE GUY 14TH ON THE METERS WON, OF COURSE! Look pal, LFR isn't for raiders trying to replace their last 378 piece. People with better gear will do better numbers, so they should get even more gear while the people who can't raid every week get no gear because they can't put out as big of numbers? Its ludicrous.
Feb 24th 2012 8:25AM I hate how people need on stuff, especially when often it doesn't even make sense. Boomkins needing on agil gear and then trying to trade for caster gear. Way to go, genius. I'm sure all the rogues who won caster gear would love to make that trade.
That being said, I don't think making it so gear is untradeable is the cure all everyone thinks it is. I've done perfectly logical trades before, a trinket I won that wasn't a huge upgrade for shoulders that were. Me and the other guy both upgrade 346 pieces instead of 378 and we both come out winners.
Jan 26th 2012 6:27PM OUfan it is not even close to that simple. Roll a rogue, now get it raid geared, now be good enough at being a rogue that a raid team will want you, now find a raid team that doesn't have a rogue who is already getting the daggers, now hope that raid team is good enough to work with you through the questline.
Oh and on top of that make sure that none of the scheduling of that conflicts with your life or your main.
Yeah, all you need to do to see that qust in game is "roll a rogue"

Jan 1st 2012 7:22PM I don't think Magni is actually dead. In the short story leading up to patch 4.3 thrall feels someone trapped under iron forge in an earthen form. Bet that's magni.

Dec 31st 2011 12:22AM Wow that last sentence came out as absolute nonsense. lrn2proofread you silly goofball.
What I meant to say was that even if it wasn't actually mandatory, raid leaders and players would treat it as though it was.
Dec 31st 2011 12:14AM Matthew, I'm sorry to say, but what you are saying is technically not true. You can keep running dungeons as much as you want, blizz isn't stopping you. You just won't get valor. You do get JP, which, yeah, you have to turn into something like herbs or ore or what have you to stay under cap, so its not even true to say you get nothing from doing more runs.
You have a point with JP being in a weird spot near the end of the expansion. I'm sure you've seen blizz comment however, that they have to be fairly careful on how they implement things that seem optional, but in practice seem mandatory. Making it possible to get everything you need from valor quickly would make it not mandatory from a gameplay standpoint to do so, but most raid leaders (and even players) would see it that way.
