The Queue: The dating game {WoW}

Mar 18th 2010 11:56AM Again, thanks to everyone who has commented. Our guild forums strongly recommend the use of Authenticators to our members, and all Officers are required to use one. Our GB is set-up so that only main characters have access and that the high-value tab six is on a request basis.

Our raids are all handled through our forums, so the vast majority of the guild can instantly grab an officer through them, over msn, vent, text, etc as we're mainly formed of several groups of close (RL) friends.

Input from everyone much appreciated, thank you. It's definitely the after-hack angle I was focusing on, but hopefully - by drumming it in - we won't have to jump through those hoops in the future.

Mar 18th 2010 11:13AM Thanks to you both, Dialgana and Todd. Having an authenticator is currently a requirement for an officer position, and I believe the majority of members do have one (tempted to add that to recruitment requirements come Cata). Concern moreso on the aftercare when/if the unfortunate does happen... what can I do extra to helpas a GL, if anything?

Mar 18th 2010 11:04AM Apologies, I asked this yesterday but it was buried down on page 8 so worth a shot asking a second time

What can I do as a Guild Leader to help prevent the hacking of members, and equally importantly, after the unfortunate event has taken place?

We're a guild hovering around the 50 account mark, and have had 3 hackings in as many months. Guild Log and GB screenies taken and sent to members in question, tickets raised, but am I missing something really obvious?

Thanks for your time if you answer :)

Breakfast Topic: I don't have one of those {WoW}

Mar 17th 2010 8:44AM Orcs.

Days upon days spent in the Netherwing Mines looking for bloody eggs to max the rep to get my own flying Jaws. Going from Nelf male (ugh, I know) to Orc male just seemed so clunky, lumbering, fat and slow. Put me off for life.

Mar 17th 2010 8:39AM Shaman: Only class I've never played.

Ideally I'd like one of each class on my server, though I have two 80 rogues (one on each faction). TBH, I'd happily level eight more rogues.

My dislike for Shaman goes back to days of Gruul and Maggy where we'd often have 3 or 4 of them in the raid and I was playing on a crappy old laptop which would bless me with 2 fps if the stars aligned*. Totems just killed it. Given I have trouble getting my head round hunter and lock pet control (I've keybinded things to Ctrl+X), I know they'd baffle me and I'd be rubbish.

*Got me out of cube duty though. Happydays.

Mar 17th 2010 6:08AM Also, and totally unrelated. I'm levelling a new resto druid through LFG (l25 at the moment), any essential add-ons I should be getting my head round before I have to do something vaguely important in a couple of months time? Using Xperl for UI currently.

Mar 17th 2010 5:04AM Down to Page 7 already, but worth asking I think:

Feb 9th 2010 11:20AM Makes me yearn for that old Games Workshop game Blood Bowl.

That was great.

Oooo oooh, and Man O' War.

Goodtimes.

Upon logging into World of Warcraft, I immediately... {WoW}
