Jul 25th 2011 11:46AM He played, and pretty seriously according to him. He claims in his manifesto that he was a member of world top guild and led a server first guild on EU-Silvermoon. I doubt he was as accomplished as he claimed - the record just doesn't seem to reflect that. It seems that he was at best a competent raider.

His toons were an ally mage "Conservatism" and horde druid "Conservative". The mage was last a member of Nevermore on EU-Silvermoon.

Here's a forum post from him concerning the 10/25 raid unification :

EA CEO won't share Old Republic release date because of "principal competitor" {WoW}

Jun 9th 2011 11:09PM I won't be playing this, or any other game by EA.

I used to work for the very first MMO company out there - Kesmai, and their subsidiary Gamestorm.com. They had games like Airwarrior and Legends of Kesmai, but notably, they also had full rights to the Mechwarrior and Aliens licenses. Because of this, they got bought out by EA.

EA made a bunch of promises. They broke every single one - the fired pretty much everyone and shelved all of the games. The servers went dark back in 2001 and I haven't played an EA game since.

What happens is that your pet puts a (non-damaging) AOE dot out; Demoralizing roar or some such. If a critter happens to be in that AoE, it aggros and runs away. Because the critter aggroed, your pet thinks it is a valid, albeit low priority, target and will pursue it All. The. Way. Across. The. Map. after all the other targets are dead.

Anyway, if you disable that attack, or just be quick about calling your pet back, you can mediate the difficulty with it.

Oct 25th 2010 2:39PM I have a question. So GC said this past weekend that the "Insane in the Membrane" achievement is going away in 4.0.3 because it will not be possible to gain rep with some factions after the shattering.

But does that mean that people who have the achievement in progress will be unable to earn it after the patch (or in cata) even if they already have those affected factions to exalted ?

For example, if all that is remaining is Darkmoon rep, then they should be able to complete the achievement after the patch is released. But it is not clear if the achievement itself will be removed in the next patch, or merely the ability to gain the necessary reputations. Do you have any more info ?

I've long theorized about a concept called the "Joke Valley". The idea is that a joke starts off as funny, and then gets less funny as you repeat it. But if you keep it up long enough, it starts to get funny again.

Deathwing rocks. Keep using it, the the QQers will see. It will be comedy gold.

Since you can't level to 83 yet, there is no aspect of the fox to try out on the PTR.

That said, the SV rotation is kind of broken. The spec loses the run and gun nature that it had because it has no focus regen outside of steady shots. It's not terrible - I think with some tweaking it could be fixed easily enough.

That said, I do like the focus change and think it adds some depth to hunters that has long been missing.

Private server company forced to pay Blizzard $88 million {WoW}

Aug 15th 2010 9:01AM "Plus, we in the United States do not have a "debtors prison." No one goes to jail for not paying debts. "

This is wholly untrue. For example, skip out on paying your child support and you'll go to jail.

Granted, the jail is technically for contempt of court - but the contempt arises out of not paying a debt owed.

Apr 20th 2010 2:15PM "I would like to know if it is possible to send Heirlooms to toons on same realm but different accounts."

It is, but as you've surmised, it requires a character transfer between accounts. What I did for my son's account was level a toon to level 10, load it up with some cash and a bunch of BOAs from my main, and character transfer it to his (new) account.

This is blizzard's recognized way of doing it, and is stated in their FAQ. I don't know that they are going to change the way it currently works.

"The number of times I've been given Blessing of Wisdom on my hunter is amazing"

You should be thankful for that. 4-5 times since I have been playing, I've encountered pallies who insist that hunters can't use mana.

Or my favorite - 7 pallies in a pug raid and all I get is kings...

I have a toon named Newkybruun.

I think I'll raise one for Blizz tonight. :-)
