Jan 23rd 2012 5:19PM When anything in life becomes an addiction, it's a problem. There are people addicted to partying, which can be just as bad as being addicted to a video game, food item, smoking, etc. Like most things in life, everything in moderation. If you eat too much or too little, it's bad. If you sleep too much or too little, it's bad as well. And the Same for exercise.
I used to play WoW multiple hours every day in high school, mainly because my friends played a bunch as well. There came a point though, a little after high school was over, when we all realized that we had to do something with our lives instead of sitting around playing games all day.
Granted, I still play a few hours of games a day, but that's because I'm lucky enough to do it as a job. If I had the option of either makings videos or gaming, I'd choose videos any day since it makes other people happy + pays the bills. A lot of people bash gaming, when all they do is work/school, come home, watch TV for multiple hours, go to bed. That's just as bad as playing a game for hours. Again, everything in moderation.
Nov 9th 2011 3:24PM I don't think I've changed drastically, but everyone changes over time, and the game does as well. When I started, I was having fun playing Wrath, but currently, in Cataclysm, I mainly just level up alts and that's about it. Because of that, I'm not a big fan of Cataclysm, so I probably am more cynical towards it than the other expansions. I still have more lighthearted ideas, but I feel more motivated to create this style.
Jan 3rd 2011 4:59PM Scratch the "when" from the second sentence.
Jan 3rd 2011 4:56PM ICC Heroics were boring. Most of the people that did it had months and months, on top of the 30% raid buff, to do it anyway.
Literally every heroic I've been in, when someone explains the fights to whoever hasn't done them yet.
People not being able to make changes on the fly is usually what determines a lot about their skill level.
I've seen numerous people with patience that stick around through many wipes. I don't care if they are casuals or non-casuals.
Then you just get into how casuals don't have time, etc. If you don't have the time to play a game that involves putting a lot of time into it, then don't play it. Wrath was dull and boring, which led to a majority of the players quitting. It also led to their old content, like Ulduar, becoming useless. Blizzard didn't want that again so they reverted back to the progression system of not handing out gear like it's candy at a parade.
To say I am belittling casuals means you are missing the point of the video. I am displaying what I tend to observe on the forums, which tend to be whiny arguments about how the game needs to change for their needs and time restrictions.
Nov 26th 2010 6:32PM Pretty much my point. Someone is always going to be offended, and if the person offended is more mainstream, it's more accepted.
Nov 26th 2010 4:28PM You are missing my point. Bad things don't happen because of jokes, they happen because of sick minded people and extremists. People have hated each other since the beginning of the human race, for various reasons, and homosexuality just happens to be one of them. A dramatic stereotype isn't going to harm anyone.
Nov 26th 2010 3:49PM Learn to take a joke people. Believe it or not, Oxhorn doesn't hate gay people. When someone makes fun of women, they don't hate women. When they make fun of dogs, they don't hate dogs. People get offended so easily these days. When something I believe in gets made fun of in a comedy video, I don't care, because it's comedy. If it was an actual hate video, then I could see reason in getting mad, but it's just a dramatic personality. How many times have you seen the Preppy cheerleader, or the super masculine guy, or the typical housewife? Do you think every cheerleader, guy and housewife are like that? Oxhorn will probably get sued now because YOU OFFENDED MY BELIEFS!
Nov 18th 2010 6:19PM I hope I eat your NE in a BG. Just sayin.
Oct 7th 2010 1:49AM No, I'm only upset because you pointed out a racist joke when you're friends with someone that makes material that could be seen as racist. That is the only thing I'm upset about. If you did find his video offending, you should talk to him about how it makes you uncomfortable. Again, I am not racist. I have friends of all races, and when using the material I never thought "I will use this part of the video to offend someone". I apologize if anyone found it offending, and we can end it at that.
