Apr 17th 2011 4:15PM one potential option is to create your own guild (perhaps with alts from your mains guild), then link with your main guild via the addon guild-to-guild. this allows you to see their chat, but wont gain their perks

Apr 2nd 2011 6:43AM wow... most people wont know what you mean, but this would be incredible (and would cause sooo much QQ :P).

imagine....

it turning off all your addons
hiding your bars
changing all your abilities and tooltips to another class
"faking" a dc to the login screen
spamming you with "the ice stone has melted" :P

i only ever played the first couple of campaigns in eternal darkness, but check out youtube for example of the "sanity" effects they actually had in the game.

BTW Realms of the Haunting > Eternal Darkness (>Psychonauts) for simply amazing, not well enough known games :)

Jan 28th 2011 1:51PM Zelin - i'd hazard that you've missed a drop of a mob somewhere which starts the next chain. 2 things you can do - check wowwiki/wowpedia for the list of quests, or download an addon like everyquest or quest completionist. These will check against the server for quests you've done and those you haven't completed yet so you can see where the next chain starts by combining the two :D

Arcane Brilliance: A poor mage's guide to enchants {WoW}

Jan 22nd 2011 4:32PM I'm using greater spellpower (+81 int) on my weapon till i get a 359. much cheaper and a guarenteed increase to SP - better than the proc coming when you need to move your ass/not cast.

Scattered Shots: Hunter spec and class balance {WoW}

Jan 3rd 2011 10:30AM Brian - just thought i'd comment to say this is one of the best articles i've ever read on wow.com (And thats saying something - the quality is always high!). Brilliant in-depth analysis with strong comments backed up by high quality research and backing up all this with great data. Presented very well aswell (wish i could make graphs of that quality!).

Unfortunatly, hunter is the only class i didnt level to 80 during wrath and therefore it'll be a while till i get onto levelling one, however i'll definately be passing this onto my guilds hunters.

Keep up the good work! :D

The Queue: Shattering is over, time to go home {WoW}

Nov 25th 2010 3:40PM Question for the queue as i've never seen this answered - can you level all professions from a starting point of 425 or do you need to be 450? All guides i've seen so far describe levelling from 450-525 but i thought in LK you could start from 350...

I've just got my 8'th 80 up and now have all professions but they range from 420 to 450 and i'd like to push them up to 450 now if i have to rather than later, but dont want to bother if i dont have to!

Officers' Quarters: The great raid size debate, part 2 {WoW}

Nov 8th 2010 6:43PM Great article. Have you considered the possibility of 2 10 man teams? Thats what we are planning for cata - a "progression" team of our best raiders (ie officers) and we'll pull in people from the second team where necessary. With about 25 committed raiders this means our progression team should always be going at the very least (we've had a history of attendence issues in the past) and we should be able to get another team out most weeks barring lots of absentees.

I've always preferred the intimacy of 10 man raids - when you've run with the same team for 3 months you know everyone inside out and can start to really second guess what they are doing most of the time. and the sense of achievment between you when you do "get the prize" is even sweeter. I often found with 25 mans there would be much more issues (sulking, being an ass, loot issues, poor performance/slacking etc) which made it less fun

Status update on current patch 4.0.1 issues {WoW}

Oct 13th 2010 1:53PM i hate to rub it in, but i finally got my drake (and 310% speed) with brewfest....

I can imagine how frustrated you are - i certainly would have been if they'd done it before brewfest. I'm not using the mount but just wanted it for the 310 upgrade (as is the case for most people i imagine)

The only consolation i can add is that 5K is no longer the barrier it was. when i first got to 70 (having only bought the game after BT patch) it seems i'd never make that much money - now i can make that in a week if i work hard or a month if i slack.

its a pain, but its not the end of the world (thats coming in 4.0.3. :P)

The Queue: Launch day {WoW}

Oct 4th 2010 1:35PM I know you are US based, but does anyone know about release day shenanigans over here in the UK? I heard mention of HMV London midnight opening - how do i get in on that action?!?!? :)
