How I made 3,000 gold by level 30 {WoW}

Mar 23rd 2012 5:38AM I learned this method quite quickly when I rolled on a RP server for the first time a few months ago. I remember seeing someone advertise in trade trying to get the Glorious Legs for 5k. A few months later, I saw it for 10k on the AH. Let me tell you, that listing didn't last very long.

There are some headpieces people will be interested in, especially like masks for the lower face.((Such as Bloodwoven Mask))

Is PvP gear good enough for heroics? {WoW}

Mar 5th 2012 5:00PM I only inspect others for the following reasons:
* To see why the tank is taking a crap load of damage
* To see what Transmog set they are wearing
* To see how they are gemming/enchanting/gear as general knowledge for my own character of class/spec.
* To see why the tank is taking a crap load of damage
* To see what amazing gear they have when they're pulling insane numbers

Did I mention to see why the tank is taking a crap load of damage?

This is from a healer POV. I try to avoid looking Grid as best I can on my DPS characters. So, clearly I wouldn't notice the tank taking a lot of damage otherwise.

Mar 5th 2012 3:48PM In my experience, bears (and DKs) are the easiest tanks to heal overall in the new heroics. Most of the time, a bear in PVP gear will not make me cry as hard as an average geared PVE tank warrior. It's to a point where I may not even notice they're in PVP gear unless I'm just curiously examining their gear.

Three pieces are fine. It's just when it's over three that it starts to get more difficult.

Mar 5th 2012 3:45PM If you're a DPS, I could care less if you're wearing PVP gear. In the case of my newest DPS Death Knight, the PVP gear is far more attractive to start getting the PVE gear in hots, because well, my greens and i333/346 stuff has far less strength. I'm still avoiding it, given the fact I know how PUGs are.

However, as a healer, I hate having PVP/DPS geared tanks. I know it's very exciting to try something new! However, you should first gear up as a DPS unless you have tank gear from PVE already.((Which, in this case, you probably don't.)) You guys make my geared paladin cry. I am afraid to even try to queue on my resto shaman as she's still gearing up because of how squishy you guys are.

Don't get me wrong, one or two pieces of PVP are fine. I know the shoulders are definitely a hard piece to get an upgrade from. But, please, please, please don't queue for the newer heroics unless you're mostly in tank gear. Just use your PVP gear in your DPS spec, and then purchase your upgrades with valor.((Don't roll need against the tank who does need the piece. It's okay if they don't need it though. It's common courtesy.))

I can't speak for healers as I'm usually healing the instances, but I feel the same would probably benefit them.

The Queue: Rule of Two {WoW}

Feb 20th 2012 12:11PM I have had loot glitch on me twice, and leave both times without realizing that I never received the items I won. Blizzard fixed it for both times promptly.

I believe it has something to do with the loot rolls timing out, as it happened both times it didn't automatically distribute. I couldn't say for sure though. I'm trying to remember to check that I actually receive the loot now after the two said instances.

The Queue: Rule of Two {WoW}

Feb 20th 2012 12:08PM On the first day, I am waiting about a half hour for the second part of Dragon Soul, and maybe 7 minutes for the first half as a DPS.

Otherwise, the wait periods are long. I love my healer queues ♥

Feb 20th 2012 12:06PM Is there any truth about Queen's Garnets/other epic quality gems being duped and it's dangerous to buy them in trade? I had a few people in trade on one server mention that Blizzard is just outright removing gems that they believe were duped. The only 'safe' way to get the epic gems is the AH because you can't put the dupe ones up on on the AH or something?

I only seen this mentioned on the one server(Wyrmrest Accord), and it just seemed weird. It was also mentioned on the realm forum by the same person I've seen in chat. I didn't even think duping would be possible in WoW. That, and I saw a blue post from January saying it was probably accounts compromised rather than duping? (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3881878461?page=1)

((None the less, they said Blizzard refused to refund gold used to purchase these gems despite the party not knowing it was duped?))

While I wasn't planning on buying any recently, it just became a concern of mine because I might want to sell the only epic gem I've got so far.

"Guide dog" player and guild embrace sightless guildmate, steer team to victory {WoW}

Feb 5th 2012 8:55AM This is one of the very few times where reading WoW Insiders has tears streaming down my face. This is an absolutely amazing story! I must admit, I haven't had much faith in humanity recently. This, however, makes it clear that there are people who have hearts of gold.

Arcane Brilliance: Gearing your mage up for the Raid Finder in patch 4.3 {WoW}

Jan 7th 2012 7:46PM One or two PVP pieces are fine. I've seen mages in mostly PVP gear pulling at least 15k in the Hour of Twilight instances easily. I just made my significant other drop his 333 shoulders for the PVP shoulders until the PVE ones drop. Seriously, gaining 101 intelligence + crit was far more beneficial for his DPS than the secondary stats he lost.(mastery and haste)

It's just when you're a tank or a healer, and have more than a few pieces it ends up messing with the group. Can't speak for healers based on experience. I only had one PVP piece for a short while in the beginning of Catacylsm. ((314 green wrist -> 358 PVP until the pve piece dropped for me in Grim Batol)). It didn't impair me. Then again, it was just one piece and an INSANE upgrade.

For tanks...Tanks with no gems/enchants I find are easier to heal than tanks mixed in PVE DPS/PVP gear. ((Both should be no-no's for tanks though, and I wish I didn't experience both of those examples several times a week)) However, both make my healers cry. If you can't afford it, at least get cheap gems or something. The +20 stuff from Wrath is better than nothing...

Jan 1st 2012 1:25AM I had something similar happen to me previously. Except, mine was bestial lore on my pet had like a year expiration on it. While changing specs/pets didn't fix it, when I deposited the pet in the stable and took it back out, it disappeared.

Only thing I can think of was I logged off when bestial lore was still cast on my pet because I remember casting it the night before. It's just a theory though.
