Dec 18th 2010 12:52PM There's one big reason I like flying. It's essentially the missing pause button. As someone who gets interrupted by family all the time, I need to be able to stop in the middle of a quest, mount up and hover while I kill a bug, clean up barf, or whatever the emergency du jour is.
As for the fun effect, I had a great time on my first epic mount zooming low over the Blade's Edge Mountains looking for Adamantite. I think adding to that aspect would be quite cool.
Jun 29th 2010 10:28AM I always make it a point to, when the beacon drops, accept the quest and find the chicken. Then, leave the ! quest on the chicken so I can come back and do it whenever I want without wasting bag space on the beacon.
Additionally, the chickens have been nerfed. You only get one group of 3 mobs and the escort distance has been massively reduced.
Mar 6th 2010 11:14AM Frankly, I got very tired of Cro, as well as the chicken clucking going on between the Scryers and Aldor in Area 52. Griftah was at least amusing, but none of them allowed you to interact with them. I prefer NPCs that interact, like General Marcus Jonathon. If you salute him, he'll salute you back.
In that vein, I discovered an interesting NPC interaction while scouting out Malykriss while doing [The Vile Hold]. You have the ability to throw rocks at the Riders, who remain yellow but still take damage. They're not the real Riders, since you're in a special layer, but they're still elites with 250,000 hp.
I didn't have the patience to kill one, but did knock her down 20,000 hp, 250-500 hp a throw. I doubt they drop anything in this layer, but I'm thinking a group of Lithe Stalkers would be darned amusing. We could all yell "Stone them!" while doing it. The girls would need fake beards of course...

Nov 25th 2009 11:53AM Only 50 charges. Such a shame. That puts tension on your desire to use it. I've been saving the last few critter enlarging snacks because of this limitation.
