Apr 25th 2011 3:25AM I'm actually quite shocked that you didn't include Kinder Surprise eggs on your list. Oh wait, that's because they're BANNED in the US. Oh well, sorry about that. Bahahahahaha!
*smashes face full with Kinder chocolate eggs, not at all choking on the separately concealed toys*
What's that? I'm sorry, I can't seem to hear you, most likely because my mouth is full of delicious Kinder egg. Nom nom nom...
Apr 13th 2011 3:05PM I am quite sad that I have to pass on this opportunity, as my day job conflicts with the schedule requirements. To the folks at Massively, I wish you all the best during the recruitment process and I hope you find the right person for the job.
Opportunities like this don't come along often, so I'd also like to wish any and all applicants the best of luck!
Apr 13th 2011 1:34AM Just for everyone's info, the resolution of the picture, assuming it wasn't resized, is 1152 x 864, which is actually an uncommon screen resolution these days.
Apr 7th 2011 12:48PM I agree with most comments here that attitude is a big problem in LFD groups, and one of the main reasons why tanks/healers don't queue as frequently as DPS. Seriously, folks, what happened to manners and respect, logic and reason, kindness and support? These are the characteristics of quality WoW players, skill really has nothing to do with it. I've run with DPS of all sorts, and the percentage of "gogogo, I want lewtz" players is astounding. Just last night, while healing a random heroic, the hunter in the group was determined to spend as LITTLE time in the instance as possible: pulling trash before the group was ready, MD'ing onto the tank to save his own ass. People like that don't get my heals, and as soon I'm able, I vote-to-kick. It shocks me that common courtesy has gone the way of the dodo, because you would think that in a social, community-focused game, people would be supportive and respectful to everyone else. I for one will continue queuing for heroics, if only to stick it to the douche-bag players who think that they are all that, that they deserve fast loot because they were stuck in a queue for 45 minutes.
Now, that's not to say that tanks and healers NEVER act out, because they do. Maybe it's just that the chances are higher for DPS players because there are 3 DPS slots to every LFD group, I don't know for sure. I do know that people need to smarten up and act like human beings again because it would suck if these actions started to make their way into the real-world. More so than they already have, anyway ;)
Apr 7th 2011 12:02PM @ Wynne
That's true with a few exceptions in the fossil tree, like the Fossilized Raptor mount and pet. When in doubt, I found WoWPedia had the info I needed regarding keystone slots and fragment requirements.
Apr 6th 2011 11:15AM It took me three separate glances at that picture to notice that Gabe is not actually holding a Bubsy toy. In fact, I spent nearly 2 hours perusing Amazon for a stuffed animal or hand painted figure that looked exactly like that, only to realize how much of an idiot I am.
Joystiq, you now owe me 2 hours of my life back that could have been better spent playing Super Bubsy on PC.
Apr 5th 2011 11:52AM I like Dwayne Johnson, he's a solid actor.
The Scorpion King, Get Smart, Gridiron Gang, Faster, The Rundown, The Other Guys, Be Cool...they were all good flicks.
Personally didn't see Doom, not because I was worried about quality, but because my laziness often prevents me from getting up to do things, like buy movies.
I'd happily welcome another video game movie starring "The Rock," and in all honesty, a Call of Duty film would be kick ass.
Mar 31st 2011 4:00PM It looks like Word is used for instant messaging, but I'm pretty sure the photo editor is Corel Draw.
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they kept things "low budget" and used the pre-installed Microsoft Works and a junk-mail trial copy of Corel Draw 7 on floppy disk.
Oh, and also, "Watch out for windowless vehicles" 1:54
/applause for editing skills in 1998.
Feb 28th 2011 1:41PM That has to be THE best CFO interview response I've ever had the pleasure of reading. And since my days at a corporate office are often riddled with emails of our own CFO being interviewed by "such-and-such" organization while vacationing in the "such-and-such" Alps, this article has a special place in my heart.
Feb 15th 2011 11:49AM Actually, scratch that idea as well, because you can't realm change from a PvE based server to a PvP based server. At least, that's what I remember being the case from the last time I looked into it :P
