Sep 29th 2009 4:52PM IMO they always should have made it so that you could only make a Death Knight if you had a character of that RACE over level 55. Would solve the Worgen/Gob DK problem at launch, while still allowing players to have DKs of these races by getting another class up to 55 first.
Sep 29th 2009 4:44PM This is certainly not the best way, and is very naive of you to think it would be feasible at all.
It would be nigh impossible to gather how many active subscriptions WoW has based on profits alone. For the reasons you mentioned (there is no WoW only profit numbers, and the sheer amount of games in their catalog also makes this impossible to deduce) as well as the fact we can't even begin to guess what their overhead is is. We have no idea what their costs of running are, how many employees they pay, etc. Just not going to work...
Sep 28th 2009 11:49AM While I do think it would be interesting to be able to convert the damage you deal to healing, they would fail on all the fights were you have to run out of some blast effect, times in which many people need healing. I think they would spend too much time running around like melee on most fights to be able to heal when they really need to.
Sep 24th 2009 5:06PM The problem is they had to make it look like an in-game item, which they didn't have to do for their other mugs. In-game item = low poly count, crude textures, etc. I think they did a really good job of recreating it, though it isn't nearly as intricate as their other mugs. Would have been nice to see them use a little more leeway in the rendition and add some more detail.
Sep 24th 2009 5:02PM It always annoyed me to know end they would talk about something and have 40k links to their own articles and maybe one linked to the site in question but probably not, and you had to mouse over them all to find it.
I always thought source would give you HTML code you could paste into your site to link back, haha.
Sep 23rd 2009 12:04PM So level up a bit and make a 79 twink?
Sep 22nd 2009 6:41PM @MrMindless:
So Sweden is trying to become Utah?
Sep 22nd 2009 6:39PM I bet you are one of the people who threatens to give up WoW every time a patch comes out? If you were really going to be quitting WoW you wouldn't be browsing WoW blogs posting WoW comments. I hope you realize how ridiculous you sound when you tell everyone you are going to quit. Guess what? Nobody cares? Not even Blizzard! They can't please everyone and it is better for them if you leave than constantly whining and creating more dissent among the players.
Most of the XX class is OP start with someone whining because because they got outplayed/dps'd/healed then someone reads it and thinks 'XX class did beat me last week, OP!' and it just spreads. Yes, changes are always happening, and anytime something new is added things will have to be tweaked and rebalanced, but most of the OP QQ is a perception problem. No one ever thinks their class is OP, the grass is always greener...
Anyways, I'd rather have them constantly add new things and rebalanced then make everything perfectly balanced and just leave it.
Sep 22nd 2009 6:33PM Exaggerated? No, don't think so. I watched four cery casual players in my guild level from 70 to 80 in a week playing just a few hours after work each day. I don't know ANYONE who could have quested that fast. The leveling records were broken by a large amount when BG xp came out. If you were leveling slower in BGs than quests you were doing something wrong.
Sep 22nd 2009 2:05PM yes, it is indeed still in the loot tables. I received one yesterday.
