Elemental Shaman talent builds for Patch 3.0.2 {WoW}

Oct 17th 2008 2:56PM Hi From Deus Vox, for pve here is what im raiding at:

The idea is that your spamming flameshock/earthshock rotation and
putting out chain lightnings/lightning bolts out as much as you can. Your mana return for pve is decent with any decent group comp. So you can get away with playing around with unrelenting storm and putting those points somewhere else. There is no point in putting 14 points in enhancement, 13's fine. Mana for shocking isn't an issue.

Forget about resto as elemental, seriously there is no point in a decent raiding spec. Beside why would you give up 124 bonus spell dmg from flametongue and you get the 5% crit at tier 2.

The truth is, even with doing this your dps is gonna be way behind the raids ranging at 2-2.5 k dps avg with top end gear. There is a slight dps increasing in adding shocks to your rotation over just chainlightning/lightning, but not alot. Hope this helps. Also you need 17 hit rating. Remember these changes are just for the next 3 weeks till wrath is out, hopefully our dps improves with lava burst. From beta testing it was still horrible.

May 27th 2008 1:50PM The Truth is we raided 6-8 hours a night over 5 nights to kill him, taking saturday off. Sk-Gaming killed it in 45 hours in 4 days. Alot of our members are older have full time jobs/responsibilities.

I believe we have one of the best 25 man groups out there. This just proves it.

I'd also like to mention that the top Euro guilds are also sponsored. Unfortunately, there is no such thing in the U.S. They had a "bonus" incentive for getting the worlds first for those guilds from there sponsors.

Totem Talk: The Endangered Shaman {WoW}

Nov 8th 2007 1:52PM Honestly, there are a few reason why there are so few:

Shamans as a farmer - Shamans are horrible compared to other class's, thats all. I cant think of a class that is worse when spec'd in there best "farming spec".

Leveling - they are probably the hardest class to level relatively. Enhancement has downtime, I found it fun to level, but, with very little in the way "oh shit" ablilities your gonna die if you get 3-4 mobs on you. You basicly drop and earth bind and hope you dont get dazed.

Raiding - At 70, your pretty much forced to heal. There will be 1 enhancement shaman in a raid, and prolly up to 3 resto. Elemental is getting nurfed(2.3), and now is viable but it's not nearly as good as the healing a resto shaman can bring.

Pvping - The problem with shaman in pvp, is there hard to play. Period.... IF your good at "shaman" you'll do fine. There is very in the little of the way mobility. There is a large learning curve to playing one well in pvp.
