May 26th 2011 8:43PM To me it's news because they set a new precedent with IC, with a new mechanic that allowed people to do the encounters at whatever difficulty they chose. I guess it was assumed this would be a good way to transition from now on. Either that was a one time thing, or they might only be using that on the final expansion bosses because that is where people would be the most pissed not being able to do it as it was originally intended. Maybe it's not as easy to program as I think, but this would make more sense IMO.
May 26th 2011 8:38PM These nerfs were probably for people like me who basically never sees raid content except the few times he can join an old raid for fun. That being said, I don't see why Blizzard can't do exactly this. It's not like there is no precedent for it. This is what was done in Icecrown Citadel, and I thought that was the point of that whole experiment. While personally I look forward to maybe, possibly finding the time to do T11 on easy mode, I do not like taking something away from the game that has doesn't need to be. Seems like Blizzard is just being lazy on this one in order to push everyone forward.
TL:DR Blizzard you gave people choice before in IC, and it worked, and worked well at that, why not do it again?
May 24th 2011 8:59PM Geez, cry me a river.
May 17th 2011 7:32PM "They've held true to that, and provided us with additional content from one expansion pack to the next"
Sorry but if you consider what we were given out the gate with Cataclysm as a full featured expansion, with all of this new stuff coming out as "additional content" then I can't take you seriously. The business model is to dole out parts as they get them done, which works well, but none of this stuff is in any way extra. If it was, the original boxed Cata was the most underwhelming game I paid 40 bucks for.
No everything that comes out in between expansions is considered a rightful part of this game we pay a monthly fee and they aren't simply giving us this stuff out of the goodness of their hearts. That they add extra features and make the game better than other MMOs out there is not considered extra either, it is good business sense and the reason they've kept so many players after so many years.
Now they want to start charging for improving the game? Sorry the only thing this tells me is that Blizzard or Activision no longer believes WoW is worth developing for at the same level as before. That's all well and good but as far as business sense goes, this will only serve to lower subscriber numbers, and I honestly don't think they care any longer. The next big MMO will come out and they will still be making the same profits with less people in WoW due to micro-transactions, meaning they will be screwing the most loyal of loyal customers.
No need for me to wait for the full news to be indignant, no price is going to be worth using this for me on top of the 15 bucks I already pay.
May 17th 2011 7:20PM Oooh, I would actually pay to have WoW versions of Activision CEOs as training dummies. Now that is a premium service worth having!
May 17th 2011 7:16PM It's going to be cheaper in the end to just do a server transfer. If this is a one time fee similar to doing a service transfer than MAYBE it might be ok. If this is part of a monthly fee like the chat and auction services, who in their right mind would bother with it, unless they include it as a part of those other services. Even then it's nothing but a ripoff, money grab, which in and of itself is not right or wrong, just business as usual, loyal customers be damned.
Apr 6th 2011 3:10PM Not even Elemental Shaman are the best casters...no that goes to the battle mages called Enhancement Shaman. Yes you think they are a melee class but really they are a caster class that knows how to kick ass with weapons too. Argue with that! :)
Apr 2nd 2011 5:23PM If you want to keep all your info instead of making a new account, like Bapo said, log in at joystiq.com and you have options to change it there. It is the same user name and password to log in there.

I wish you weren't being faded to black, both of those videos' songs were just as bad as yesterdays music. To me the second one didn't even fit with the action happening in the video (ok they synced the horns with the animation goody goody) but hey to each his own I guess.
Mar 10th 2011 7:00PM A switchable android tablet would make more sense. Make it use streaming, since that Atom processor won't be running anything decent anytime soon, and you might have a winner. As it is I'd take the Alienware m11x any day over this.
