Jan 30th 2011 8:19AM My S/O is a DK Tank (just reached 329 ilvl) & I'm a Resto Shaman (354 ilvl). He begged me to heal him through some heroics and I broke down and decided to help him. I told him only 1! We got SFK with 3 dps from the same guild. We wiped 10x on Ashbury cause my S/O had only ever been in SFK as a druid healer and never had to deal with Stay of Execution. The Fury Warrior decided to change up interrupt order and we downed it. They sent whispers of encouragement to my S/O telling him to chin up that everyone needs to learn. We even downed Springvale getting all of us the achieve (without a hunter's MD or a rogue's Tricks).
It was a good experience in the sea of woe that is RDF.
Jan 27th 2011 9:30AM It's a Best-In-Slot list, not a gear progression list. You can use Wowhead to find suitable gear for a hunter.

Nov 10th 2010 6:49AM If Focused Insight had the hit rating needed to make sure the shocks hit (like the Holy Paladins - Enlightened Judgments or like the Priests - Glyph of Divine Accuracy) it would a grand talent to drop all 3 points into. But in it's current state, I find myself preferring the Damage Reduction of Ancestral Resolve or Nature's Guardian.
I tried the FI/TC spec on LK10(N) other week and I was hard pressed to find a time to actually use shocks or lightning bolts. Weaving them into my casting was a pain.
Hopefully Blizzard will consider reworking the talent to give it passive hit or give us a glyph for it....
Nov 9th 2010 9:56AM I agree. I've soloed a few of the Wrath Heroics with my pvp gear and a tanking shield. Most times I don't even need the shield, dual rockbiter gets me by easily enough. Forge of Souls(N) isn't even all that hard solo. Still having trouble in PoS(N) at the hill, usually I try to mount up and clear it after Ick/Krick.
All the Loot belongs to me so I'd say that's a solid money maker.
May 23rd 2010 5:39PM The 3 C’s
These three C’s should be followed by all players who expect the best out of any tank they encounter, be it in a guild or in a pug. If everyone follows them a tank can learn quicker and be more effective for the group as a whole.
To all the up and coming tanks out there, I would only say stick to the 3 C’s. Don’t argue about who was at fault in a wipe situation just refocus and do your best at whatever stage of tanking you find yourself. Learning from mistakes made by yourself or others prepares you for the success of the future.
Be confident even when things might not look as if confidence is warranted on your part.
Be consistant in learning the skills that are necessary to improve as a tank and stay as committed as time allows to that goal. Read, read, read everything you can find that another tank has written about the subject of tanking as a prot warrrior. Listen to those who know what your going through and have been there themselves. Arguing back at a DPS’r or healer in a group or pug who have no clue what you do for a living in this game is simply spinning your wheels and going no where fast. It only hinders your goals and distracts you from performing at your best.
Be considerate to those who are clueless, struggling to understand, or trying to help.
The 3 B's
These are the things that no tank should ever sink to in any situation.
Bashing (Going after or ridiculing anyone never changes what happened and can only make the next attempt tougher.)
Barking (Don’t order people around, it only turns them off to what you're trying to explain or share on a situation.)
Boasting (You might be doing well, and if you are someone else will tell you so, don’t be or bring a superior attitude to a group or pug. Your next wipe is right around the corner….)
You are not DPS nor are you Heals… You are a tank…your leading from the front so act like it.
I cannot take credit for penning this & I can't recall any longer who did. However, I have passed this on to every tank that I've met and I post it in the class forums of every guild I join. I actually have this in a folder on my desktop and have read it out on vent for a newbie tank I was in a pug 5man BlackRock Depths.
Apr 28th 2010 9:36AM HAHAHA

Apr 6th 2010 9:36AM His UI looked like my boyfriend's till I *ahem* fixed it. He also plays on a small (15") screen.
I'm not great at UI's so I just gave him what he wanted - all his needed addons in a nice looking format.
Bartender, Omen, Prat, Titan Panel, Minimap Button Bag, DBM, Recount, Pally Power are what he "needs" to play.
So I used KG Panels after all was placed and sized correctly to bring it all together.
