The aesthetic consequences of new character models {WoW}

Jan 23rd 2012 5:32PM Please please please make it so tauren female's tails don't clip the back of their legs when running. Seriously this bothers me soooo much, it's something so simple and obvious I feel it's lazy design when they made them and saw this and decided to leave it in the game.

The Queue: Why I welcome the Dragon Soul nerf and why you should, too {WoW}

Jan 19th 2012 12:00PM This response reeks of elitism and superiority SO much. "OMG these people are going to have the same gear I have even though I'm clearly better than them! No you can't enjoy MY game and MY raid and MY accomplishments and MY gear because I am better than you in so many ways!" Please. If your sole purpose for raiding is to look better than other people and be judged as such, you are a sad, sad person. Go buy a kitten.

Nov 3rd 2011 11:47AM I predict the pet battles will probably not make the cut. Just imagine the amount of animations they have to program for every single pet they want to allow to do battle. Granted, some pets already may have existing animations in-game if a corresponding NPC exists (cats, worg, snakes, etc) but others will have to be programmed in (cockroach, balloon, prairy dog... i can think of a bunch). This takes a lot of programming hours on something that nobody (as far as I know) asked for... People have been collecting pets since the game began without asking "Why have non-combat pets?" I myself have around 114 pets and it has never ocurred to me that I want to battle my pets against others... I just enjoy collecting them.

Mar 22nd 2011 1:07PM I agree with you 100%, except for this part: If I don’t know the instance or don’t know it on heroic, please take the time to EXPLAIN it or give me a chance.
Not that I think this shouldn't be done, but quite honestly, most boss mechanics have specific tank mechanics that DPS or healers just don't know about. I DPS and heal on heroics, and I know both of those aspect of the fight, but if I've never tanked a specific boss I won't know what the tank needs to do during certain boss abilities (specially because my DPS is ranged).
My suggestions for tanks who have never done a boss is to pause before the boss, alt tab, look up wowpedia, quickly scan the boss abilities, and alt tab back. The DPS and healer will be happy to wait for you if it means one less wipe. Seriously it takes less than a minute.
On the same note, if you're a DPS or even healer who has never done a boss before, SAY SO. And say so before every boss fight. Someone will explain what you need to do. Again, if it saves a wipe, most people will be smart enough to explain it. There's even an addon that will do it for you (can't remember the name atm).
But I'll be totally honest right now, I've come across more mean/douchy tanks than I've come across mean DPS. A lot of tanks abuse the instant queue system and drop group right after the boss they wanted a drop from. I can't tell you the number of times I've had a tank pull everything in the room and drop group also.
I've had many tanks who are squishy as a wet paper napkin who refuse to CC even if the healer (me) asks them to, because I'm having a REALLY hard time keeping them up. Tanks, if your healer tells you to CC, DO IT. They're the ones that know whether CC is needed or not, not you. When they die because they weren't CCing, they just drop group.

Mar 22nd 2011 12:46PM With the new valor point system where you can get all your heroics done one day of the week, it might be harder for DPS/Heals who queue during the week to get groups. I predict the LFG queue will be longer during the off-times when there are less people on.
