Blizzard announces official Cataclysm launch events {WoW}

Nov 22nd 2010 7:18PM I'm confused by the London launch as it says Game Leicester Square on the website but there isn't a Game on Leicester Square. Anyone able to enlighten me somewhat to what I'm missing here?

Cataclysm release date set for December 7 {WoW}

Oct 4th 2010 12:37PM Damn, it cut off the end of my comment, was going to add that if the release date was changed to November 26 then you could say we'd be getting Mumbai'd instead.

Cataclysm release date set for December 7 {WoW}

Oct 4th 2010 12:32PM Tokkar,

I suppose you're the same person who complained when WotLK was released on November 13, the same day that, in 1985, the eruption of the volcano Nevado del Ruiz in Colombia caused a glacier (like the ones in Northrend) to melt, killing approximately 23,000 people. It could have been coincidence, but it did seem a bit insensitive at the time.

Sins of a Solar Empire for $4; Mass Effect and Dragon Age bundles part of Impulse sale {Joystiq}

May 29th 2010 7:39AM I have a dirty secret that I must admit. I pirated Sins of a Solar Empire a while ago and have been loving it ever since. It always made me feel incredibly guilty though, because it's so good and Stardock are such a small developer. This, however, has let me right my past wrongs and finally buy the game. I know it is not complete redemption (being only a fraction of the full cost), but at least it might go someway to make my space hopping endeavours more legitimate.

Cataclysm raid progression refinements {WoW}

Apr 26th 2010 12:54PM Just to spell it out seeing as many people don't seem to have actually read or fully comprehend the math of this:

"25-player versions will drop a higher quantity of loot per player (items, but also badges, and even gold)"

Now, using this let's build a hypothetical situation using very basic figures, so in Cataclysm, theoretically:

10-mans will drop 2 pieces of loot (0.2 per person) and 2 badges (2 per person)
25-mans will drop 6 pieces of loot (0.24 per person) and 4 badges (4 per person)

This means that it will still be worth doing the 25-mans if you can as your guild will gear up faster. There is actually absolutely no reason why these changes would kill 25-man raiding. Please read before you complain next time. =)

BlizzCon 2009: Cataclysm, the story so far {WoW}

Aug 22nd 2009 10:14AM I believe it was Mike Morhaim on DirecTV who said that when they spoke of aiming two games for release in 2010 they were speaking of SC2 and Cata. My guess is next Summer, assuming they really drag Icecrown out then leave people a chance to experience that.

Apr 10th 2009 11:11AM On the topic of add-ons, what's the least resource intensive add-on that shows all of your bags in one and sorts them? I'm currently using Engbags, but it's my most resource intensive add-on, using more MBs than even Pitbull.
