Jun 23rd 2010 3:04AM here's some statistics about IT projects for you:

over 30% of projects will be canceled
over 50% of projects will cost almost twice as much as their original estimate
only 16% of projects are actually
completely on time and on budget
software spend 60% - 80% of its lifetime in maintenance(bug fixing, adaptions, specification changes)

often when a project is completed it's only a mere shadow of its original specification requirement.

Unlike most Engineering Disciplines Software Engineering(aka what makes programming efficient and less buggy) only 50 years of history, which ain't much compared to other disciplines. Furthermore expectations always out grow the actual capability.

It is impossible to provided a bug free game because:
@The time it takes for testing to ensure a 100% bug-free wow would take forever
@When they add a new mechanic, they have to integrate it with the code they already have which would guarantee bugs and/or crappy implementations. As you know flying and jousting sucks in comparison to action games because wow isn't originally designed to do those things. So they have to rewrite lots of code to make things work better, which would guarantee even more bugs cause wow isn't as simple as 1+1.

Even through player tries to use MMO toons as a way to extend themselves(sub-consciously)
the toons don't ever end up perfectly right.

Nov 7th 2009 7:45AM Even through MMo toons can tells a lot about the player's person, games are limited to the fact that they're games made on limited resources ,with copyright laws and privacy laws.

Personally i can't imagine myself looking like any of the characters in the game, so toons's look is quite random.
I mean i would like to be a wizard, but the caster classes are not quite the same as what i wanted to be
