Apr 4th 2012 4:34PM @Xant: Some people take offense on the word slut being thrown around. I'm no expert on feminism, in fact I don't know much about it all besides that supposed bra-burning stuff whathaveyoupassingmentioninhistoryclass... So I wasn't sure what slut shaming meant. I thought you were calling those who want to wear skimpy clothing, sluts.
Apr 3rd 2012 5:08PM @Xantenise:
"Don't worry -- I have absolutely no problem with men or women who want to decorate their avatars to show some skin. I'm not a slut shamer. "
That's about all my brain could say about this sentence for a while. And it is still struggling to make any sense of it.
Apr 2nd 2012 4:50PM Have to call BS on that "long game" thing. Might have held true up until Wrath, but Cataclysm was pretty much thought up so they could replace aging content.
MoP - I seriously doubt they had planned for it originally, no matter how much they might claim otherwise.
After Wrath was done, Cataclysm in the pipe, RTS plotlines more or less wrapped up, they must have went "what do we do now?" and then someone said "hey, people have been wanting to see Pandaren since forever, maybe we could add them." And then that guy hopefully got a pay raise for a smashing idea. Going even more off on a tangent here, I'm pretty sure MoP will be WoW's swan song, it will be the last expansion or the second last, depending on how fast WoW bleeds customers to other games.
Apr 1st 2012 8:49AM As many people have noted - you don't have to call. There's the online form that requires you to send an ID as noted in the article, and as said, unless you're locked out of your account, you can simply remove the authenticator from the account management settings.
Mar 31st 2012 6:26PM If your current authenticator isn't dog food, you can just uncouple it without all that calling CS stuff from account management...
Also, once you get the authenticator app, remember to write up the restoration code, so you can restore functionality with the new app, in case you forget to uncouple the old authenticator from your old phone.
Mar 31st 2012 4:56PM About that, "your character is not all knowing" ... I'm commonly quite confused what is common knowledge and what's not. I mean, if I want to discuss the orcish history IC, how much of it has been lost to time, or would some things even be told to a non-orc? Like, is it common knowledge who was the first one to drink demon blood, is Thrall's history commonly known, so on and so on - things you'd figure someone would know, but aren't sure what the common populace is expected to know?
The fact that some lore is contradictory or barely explained at best doesn't help either - like Anasterian dying fighting the Scourge and being somewhere upwards of 4,000-5,000 years old - some 12 times older than the average high elf lifespan according to other information.
Mar 30th 2012 2:56PM I was going to ask what's the use of BoM mastery change, but if I see this right, it's becoming attainable from lvl 81?
Mar 29th 2012 4:33PM However their city is maintained and built mostly through magic and last I checked magic is free. One of the few references to actual manual labor is Worker Mo'rrisroe who has been clanging his silver hammer in that back room in Silvermoon for years now.
Mar 29th 2012 4:28PM @Luotian:
"The blood elves don't really contribute *anything* to the Horde, "
Except mages, priests, blood knights to their army, access to Dalaran, experts on magical items - basicly a whole shebang of all kinds of magic related stuff - possibly a handful of ships (elven destroyers anyone?)...
Those damn blood elves sure are a useless bunch.
Mar 29th 2012 3:58PM @Puntable: Agreed in the sense that when we play the game, fluid movement and "realistic" (read: nice looking) animations are more important than pretty faces most of the time. However, obviously, once they're done upgrading character models they're most likely more prominently featured in promotional material.
