Breakfast Topic: Caught between a rock {WoW}

Jan 20th 2010 12:35PM Sigh. Internet Ate my First Attempt

I like to collect the papers and books. Saltheril's Haven Party Invitation and The Lament of the Highborne are on my 'must have' list for Blood Elves and most Foresaken. I also for some reason tend to collect Belamoore's Research Journal and never throw it out.

Along with the usual holiday costumes I also have two characters with a complete set of Blessed Regalia of Undead Cleansing. Three of the Haunted Momentoes and probably a dozen Necrotic Runes. I hope Cataclysm has some similar event only drops. Do the Necrotic Runes count for rock collecting? They look like rocks. My Paladin not only has the armor set but she also has all of the Trinkets. The armor itself was very nice, was still wearing several pieces until 80, but then I avoided instances until the recent LFG Random Dungeon feature was implemented.

I do that quest line with every alt.

Officers' Quarters: More loot-rolling shenanigans {WoW}

Nov 2nd 2009 2:19PM Hmm. I suppose it would if you did not know how to read the sentence " If ahead of time it is decided that everyone only gets to win one roll"

Officers' Quarters: More loot-rolling shenanigans {WoW}

Nov 2nd 2009 2:16PM If you are allowed to only win one roll set and you roll for something you are going to immediately turn around and sell. Hey, you're decision. Just don't whinge when the next thing that drops is something you really need and you can't get because you blew your wad already.

It doesn't matter really how many rolls or wins you're allowed. If you win the roll, no one should tell you what you do with your prize. The problem comes when people try to set up rules (which are unenforceable except by whinging and name calling) that tell someone what they are allowed and not allowed to do with the things they win.

Again, a straight roll with no one getting loaded dice would be better. Dunno who was smoke'n crack when they came up with the current method.
