May 29th 2010 2:54PM Also, remember that Balance druids already have a DPS cooldown (Starfall), while Resto Druids do not have a survival cooldown (Tranquility sucks, and we have nothing like Pain Suppression, Guardian Spirit, Divine Sacrifice, etc...). I often find myself without any buttons to push during healing-intensive phases. I just keep on healing like I have been all fight. So I think it makes sense to give Resto druids a big healing cooldown.
Not that I wouldn't support giving Balance druids the same treatment... it's just that I don't know that they need it as much as Resto druids do.
May 26th 2010 3:32PM You know it goes both ways right? Hunters had MD before Rogues had Tricks. MD was adjusted to make it more like Tricks, but the idea of a threat transfer started as a Hunter flavor ability.
Tricks is still unique because of the damage boost isn't it?
Apr 8th 2010 1:46PM Keep them at range to break bunkers and turrets, then use their big cannon against your opponent's main base. Their main advantage is their long range.
But mostly I don't see them in game much... it's fun to drop them with Medics tho...
Mar 20th 2010 2:35PM What is that screenshot of a graph of price over time and how do I get Auctioneer to show it?!?!?
Mar 19th 2010 12:02PM Regarding pet survivability (this coming from a MM hunter, mind you): Instead of making BM better able to cope if their pet dies, I'd rather see them develop better ways for BM to keep their pet alive. Like give them a BM-only defensive cooldown for their pet.
As BRK once suggested, it would also be good to let BM set where their pet attacks from (instead of always from the back). Add 4 more toggles to the BM pet bar that let you set your pet to attack from the rear, front, left or right side of the mob. That could keep them out of tail swipes and fires.
And finally, what about a talent like:
Bestial Frustration: Your damage with all shots is increased by 10% while your pet is active but not attacking.
That way the BM hunter gets a little boost if their pet is unable to attack the boss (air phases and the like), but not enough to make them want to keep their pet on passive.
Mar 1st 2010 1:19PM Another way to deal with Pally mana problems when they outgear the instance is to pull more mobs. More mobs=more damage=more healing=more mana. The pally tanks in my guild will always ask the healer first, and if the healer is cool with it, they'll pull two packs at a time.
Of course this only works when the healer outgears the instance also.
Feb 19th 2010 7:31PM Read the patch notes. The cooldown for the debuff starts when you leave the group and the dungeon finder is no longer a debuff. If you complete the dungeon and you do it in 15mins or more, you can queue up right away like you can now. If you drop group, you have to wait 30mins
Feb 17th 2010 6:17PM Just took a walk through Guidinglight's post history... I think his trolling speaks for itself...
Feb 10th 2010 8:13PM And this is why I like Apple's version of application approval. I'll allow a little bit of censorship and control if it means there is someone reviewing the apps to make sure they are (at the very least) being posted by a legitimate company.
Jan 30th 2010 5:27PM Vuhdo is awesome. It's all I use on my druid.
Vuhdo has a great wiki page with tons of information and a stellar walk-through for configuration. I strongly suggest checking it out if you're considering using Vuhdo as your healing frames.
That said, I also use Vuhdo on my hunter. I set up click casting for misdirection, master's call and the like. It makes me much more flexible.
