Mar 15th 2012 7:24PM I love these transmog articles, but I think it'd be cool if you provided a wowhead compare link so we can see all the pieces together on wowhead or paste it into MogIt to see on our own characters.
Mar 13th 2012 5:50PM I liked Blood DPS when DKs first came out, but ultimately went with Unholy for the pet. Unholy is still my main spec, but my offpsec is Blood and I'll switch to that while still in my DPS gear for soloing old raids and stuff.
Mar 13th 2012 5:45PM Personally I have a main because that's the character I use to collect over 100 mounts, over 150 companions, grind out reputations, earn achievements, and do any number of time-consuming tasks that I don't want to do over and over on multiple characters. My main is exactly what the word suggests: the main character I want to play on. It doesn't mean I don't like to play my alts, but for them I only grind out the stuff I really want specifically for them. Otherwise they just serve as a change of pace once in a while, whereas my main is more like my identity within the World of Warcraft, and the character I enjoy playing the most.
Mar 13th 2012 5:39PM When I started playing WoW in vanilla, I had a serious lack of identity within the game. I've always been a fan of melee classes, but the choices I had just didn't speak to me. I flip-flopped between Rogue and Warrior, while dabbling in the other classes here and there. It didn't help that I wasn't that crazy about the races either, except for Gnomes, but my friends played Horde.
When BC hit I found a favorable Horde race in Blood Elves, and while I've always loved Paladin characters from a lore perspective, the BC WoW Paladin just didn't do it for me. So I ended up with a Blood Elf Rogue main. I enjoyed it, but still felt a sense of detachment.
Then along came Wrath, and with it Death Knights. At first I just wanted to try it out to see what it was like, but as soon as I did I knew I was rolling a Death Knight main. Everything from heavy armor, to lifestealing, spells, minions, and the option to dual wield or go 2h, it all resonated with me. It was the first class to "click" with me and I enjoy it more than any other class to this day. I also love the lore of a fallen paladin struggling with finding his own redemption.
My previously-Blood Elf DK is now a Goblin because the one constant I've loved since vanilla was the quirkiness of Engineers, and I don't see myself looking for a new main anytime in the foreseeable future.
Mar 2nd 2012 2:10PM I've got the transmog bug pretty bad. I've found that sometimes my productivity just goes through the floor because I'm too busy playing with MogIt to do anything else. On top of that, I'm leveling my alts more because I want to be able to finish transmog sets for them, too!
My biggest issue has been that on my main I got loremaster of Outland/Northrend before transmog was available, so there's a lot of items I can't go back and get now.
Jul 22nd 2010 7:14PM lol, he sounds like Sarris from Galaxy Quest.
Really not bad though.
Jul 14th 2010 4:44AM I certainly hope they're nowhere near done. Looking at the Unholy DK tree I found myself thinking all the "fun" talents are gone and only the boring ones are left.
Top that off with the absence of 2H Weapon Spec (anywhere), Pale Horse (please tell me that's trainable and not gone altogether), and Corpse Explosion and it's like the spec has been gutted.
Just going to hold my breath and hope the spec is still interesting when all is said and done.
Jul 5th 2010 10:15PM I killed Ahune every chance I got on my DK main and only got frost badges from the bags of loot. I really wanted the pet, but oh well. I did get my Violet Protodrake, so that's good.
On my alt Paladin I got 2 Frostscythes and the pet. Go figure.
Oct 18th 2009 9:19AM The rings actually are based on other rings I believe.
Specifically, I think they have the same stats as the basic Kirin Tor rings, but without the port to Dalaran feature.
Oct 16th 2009 8:16AM As an Engineer I just use the Dalaran AH most of the time, but on Azeroth I prefer TB or Silvermoon. Both have banks pretty close to the AH with forges and anvils near enough, and are usually not crowded at all. TB has the added benefit of being able to get to the AH, Mailbox, and Guild Bank all without dismounting.
