Gold Capped: Quick Auctions Poster does the undercutting for you {WoW}

Sep 26th 2010 1:13PM Personally in my case to make a point I ran them down below vendor+listing price (assuming they'd know to cap it at vendro price at least) so with each re-listing made they were loosing money (albiet small amounts) :)

Gold Capped: Quick Auctions Poster does the undercutting for you {WoW}

Sep 25th 2010 1:25PM "Nilla" twilight's hammer EU, Alliance side is clearly using this.

Cataclysm Beta: New blacksmithing items revealed {WoW}

Jul 3rd 2010 4:33PM While I raid for killing bosses (and seriously, I DO raid to kill bosses to a pretty anal extent) it DOES tend to get a little dull farming the same content when I KNOW there's no gear upgrades there. Like nothing at all.
I'm in the same boat as a few here, a shiney new alt that sparkles and is actually interesting to play as there's sooooo much still to be done on it. I've seen the bosses etc but the other side of RPG - character progression, still has a lot of legs on it.
With a full gear reset in Cata all that wonderful new shiney-ness will be there again.

I think an RPG with slightly faster gear churn (where there's a constant amount of small ways to improve your character) could really be a big winner for a lot of folks.

Cataclysm: Reaching uncrittable {WoW}

Jul 3rd 2010 3:43PM Just for you, i'll queue as healer in ele gear with ele spec, just to keep your life interesting :D

Gameplanet interviews Cory Stockton and Greg Street {WoW}

Jun 18th 2010 10:55AM Well, considering before the Lich King proper Kel Thuzzad was controlling undead and generally being a necromancer.
I'd imagine the folks running the show in these places are due a little more piecemeal redemption for their naughtiness etc that likely helped things/the plague along.
The head has been cut off the animal but some of it's limbs are still thrashing so to speak.

The magical alchemy of mouseovers plus a Razer Naga {WoW}

Jun 12th 2010 4:46PM I ordered this originally, I was using razer mice before I moved to the steelseries wow mouse so this would have been a combination of 2 great lines of mice for me. Looking at it though I can't help thinking there wasn't much design thought put into it.
If they'd gone the steelseries route of putting a couple more buttons under other fingers (like hell, give me 3 right and left mouse buttons, the fingers are a lot more dexterous than the thumb) and maybe 6-8 extra buttons on the side rather than just using a fairly dull/brute force idea to the design of the thing they'd have totally go my business.
Considering getting a few tools and a couple of old mice and building something myself using one of those "build an arcade emulation cabinet with your pc" style interface boards and some microswitches + a dremell :D

Battle.net integration before Cataclysm {WoW}

May 1st 2010 6:55PM I can see this serving the perhaps unintended function of being able to keep in touch with folks who were particularly awesomesauce in random HC's (those you got talking to about cheesecake or their need for your class in their LK hc killing 10m etc).

AddOn Spotlight: NeedToKnow {WoW}

May 1st 2010 4:57PM Used NTK for a good while without realising it can track ICD's! DOH! Will be getting these up on my bars asap.
It IS a very funky little addon, you can have different groups of different sized/shaped bars. The fact that it can track you, target, targets target, focus etc etc all at once in any size/shape/colour/combination you like is awesome. It's not a hard addon to setup either so folks wanting something intuitive for cooldown management should look no further.

Refer-A-Friend rocket available starting tomorrow, Tuesday April 27 {WoW}

Apr 28th 2010 6:27AM Personally: Gamechest (wow + tbc) = £9. Wrath = £14. Gamecard = £17. HOWEVER: The refering account also gets a free month (reward for your friend (or "friend) paying for first months gametime). If you are recruiting a "friend" then just gogo boost them through every dungeon imaginable, they will level amazingly fast AND you get to throw the extra level rewards on another alt (each time the refered account levels they can "gift" an extra level to one of the referee's characters up to max lvl 60).
Even those being a bit sad and just opening another account have plenty to gain from it. Once the 3 months times getting close to coming up, move all the characters you want to keep back to your main account (you can transfer between accounts with the same surname) and cancel subscription.

Breakfast Topic: How did you start WoW? {WoW}

Dec 20th 2009 3:12PM Hmmm, i'm probably a bit of a rarity in WoW (not a chip on my shoulder statement tho). I've played MMO's since getting into Ultima Online just before it launched it's first expansion pack. I've seen played: Space above and Beyond since beta (ran one of the biggest guilds in game), Star Wars galaxies since release day (got bored of it), WoW in the US beta, everquest 2 while I waited for wow to launch in europe and WoW since the day of release.

I help run a social raiding guild (as raid lead, class lead and a few other hats) and generally enjoy life in and out of WoW.

As to if i'm where I saw myself? Unsure, I got into wow as a game, specific "targets" etc weren't so important. I rolled my 3rd pally at the start (1 to US beta, 1 to US open beta/stress test) and played till pally class lead in a BWL raid guild, left the game for a while as it wasn't holding me, came back and got a new guild in time to see the start of Naxx the first time. Got bored healing rolled a rogue and haven't looked back since. My pally is now a backup tank for my guild.

It took a fairly long time before I took the game seriously enough to understand the mechanics, I take the game a fraction too serious now (tho nothing like as some, I raid anything from 1 to 5 times a week depending on real life and friends) and it's starting to loose its appeal again at the moment.

I'd like to think i've tread a pretty even path, it's never ruled my life (too much) while im able to get much enjoyment out of it. I play in a guild of "family", many i've shared a beer (and on occasions a bed) with. I'm learning at least 1 other language as a result of folks around me. I doubt I could have envisioned any of it from picking the game up way back when :)
